The thing to consider here about merch is that the audience is much more likely to buy it after seeing you perform live, and then finding the store right there at the venue. Of course the logistics are much easier to handle when it's local or even nationwide shows.

Actually a video with some new secret insights and information that I haven't heard you speak about prior, I agree on the mindset and do really appreciate sharing these tips. I believe that for some individuals it might be better to learn by making own mistakes and as much as we put in we will get back in return, where some simply might just need full guidance, because they're simply not capable of handling everything, but might be talented in a certain skill, where some also might use money to take all the shortcuts possible which I don't think is a way to go.

This is an idea ive had as well. What happens if you stop promoting the playlist?
@SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS2 күн бұрын
You should promote for at least 1.5 months until you trigger the algorithm and then you can back off. But I'm always promoting something

which one between spotify ads and meta ads are better?
@HaddonMusic5 күн бұрын
I have tried both and Spotify gave me 35 cents per conversion and meta I have gotten as low as 9 cents. Meta seems a lot better but it takes a lot longer to set up and Spotify ads just take a few clicks

Meta for maximum scale. Spotify ads are great for beginners with less then 50,000 monthly listeners

@SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS6 күн бұрын
$9000 baby! You scale up to it! Start at $10 a day. The cool is to get momentum, eventually you can turn the ads off and the streams/royalties keep coming :) IF the song connected... This business ain't for the faint hearted.

The only downside to putting other people’s music in your playlist with your songs is, some people can just skip past your songs and go listen to what they already know
@andreabrunori5 күн бұрын
If people skip your music, imagine how fast they would skip an entire playlist made ONLY of it…
@DaGrimmOneOfficial5 күн бұрын
@ not quite the same because the difference being they would know they would be listening to unpopular music and mainly by yourself so they in their discovery mode, whereas in a “Hip Hop or Rock Playlist” a lot of people would be listening for something they know and not so much to discover something new, don’t get it twisted there are people that love to discover new music, but they are more the outcasts in comparison
@andreabrunori5 күн бұрын
@@DaGrimmOneOfficial what you usually do is make a playlist with two of your songs, then some other famous songs, then another of yours, then famous songs, with yours mixed in. Then, your promotion points to the first song of the playlist. This way, people go to the playlist for your song, and remain hooked for the famous ones, and go to listen more of yours. If you only make a playlist with your songs, all unknown to them, after 3-4 songs they would move over because all unknown songs are a tiresome listening, and these days people don't want tiresome listening. Otherwise, artists would still be making albums...but what works are singles nowadays, whether you like it or not...
@DaGrimmOneOfficial5 күн бұрын
@ answer this one since you feel you know it all, out of all the songs on that playlist, which would have more skips and which will have more streams/saves? I have done it many times of playlist of just my own songs and gained many streams, saves and playlist adds, not only that interaction on my socials and merch sales, from what I can say is playlist of just my own songs has worked and I see no downside to it because they are getting exactly what they came over for rather than mixing in this and that to try and piggyback off other songs, if you wanna go down a curator route that would suit x1000 better
@andreabrunori5 күн бұрын
@DaGrimmOneOfficial "answer this one since you feel you know it all". I don't have time to waste with personal attacks that lead nowhere. I explained the idea behind the suggestion. You like doing it differently from what everyone suggests? Fine.

The problem for most new artists is that they don't have thousands or even hundreds to spend on promotion. I've tried reaching out to play listers and all I get back are clear cookie cutter auto responses trying to get me to pay £50 a month to be on their Playlist. Combined with Spotify's already dreadful pay rates for Artists and lack of promotional tools for new starters, it's like throwing a rock in the sea
@L-M-MOfficial7 күн бұрын
I can't even get 10 streams a day at the moment. I feel like all my efforts are leading nowhere and my distributor's Discovery Mode is absolutely useless at the moment. Hard not to feel hopeless sometimes.

okay, you speak about someone earning US Salary, the prizes for ads for these platforms are the same across countries tho (I do believe) i have a lets say 2000k dollar salary and i pay 100 a day for 30 days (spending more than i do earn) to get what in return? whats the real money ROI? Shouldnt be a such channel that focuses on "starting artists" like me focused firstly on "getting hermetic community first" making relations and collabs? You do talk about that too but you do focus mostly on investing freaking amount of money. starting artist does not think about 15k listeners but about just 5,15,100 first real fans, about hermetic group that believes in you
