You have three surface warships in sea zone M4, so Tripoli is surrounded. In version 3 and earlier, you had to declare ships to be blockading. Now, just having three surface warships in a sea zone automatically blockades any adjacent enemy naval facilities.

Bad luck on checking those subs. ... Thinking about it, I guess one of the reasons to research Amphibious Doctrine is to make Big Blue Fleet more impactful? I was originally going to ask if that extra naval strat move matters as much, since you do seem to enjoy using air power/air transport for non-lend-lease assets, but I guess you're gonna need it to take back Australia (if FEC/ANZAC aren't already on it...)

Just a quick note about submerging. There is no option to submerge. Submerging isn't a choice. The only time any unit submerges is at the end of round 1 when all defending submarines *must* submerge. Defending submarines get to roll their defense value in the first round.

The captured destroyers in Uruguay remain in port. The reason why is ships are captured in port during the Place Units Phase, which of course comes after the Non-combat Movement Phase.

KMT Attack into Kwangtung R1: 1:40 4 unboosted infantry roll and one retreats with a "10". You did not catch this and therefore rolled 1 too many infantry in R2. 2:18 2 cavalry retreat. 2:36 1 boosted infantry retreats. R2: 3:47 You should have rolled only 1 unboosted infantry @ "1". Both rolls missed, so this didn't matter.

Am I reading the map right in that you control a LOT of the pacific now in exchange for a fleet you've already replaced? I'm also not sure about repairing hit ships-- is that a build point outlay? I'm also not sure where I can get my hands on the rules. Not... That I have enough table space to play. Which is a shame, I'm starting to get into it.

Going on MAP or escort duty is combat movement. Coming off either can be your choice of combat or non-combat movement. For example, you could come off escort duty to move to a fight somewhere else.

Sea plane stays in Puerto Rico

The British bomber Axis and Allies comes with is a Halifax. The Lancaster Comes in the 1941 A&A game. Halifax and Lancaster are very very close in appearance, and at the size of Axis and Allies plastic, it's easy to miss the difference.
