You are correct on using the three units to attack the Germans in k25. So the attack will be rolled as one attack which will be the 5 units attacking from the beach and the 3 units from the flank versus the German defensive rolls.

The Germans only get one defensive roll no matter how many directions they are being attacked from. It’s considered to be one battle.

So: I know that K24 must go on to L24, and cannot land at K23. Can the three units currently at l24 engage in a flanking action with Jig at k25? And if they do, does that cause return fire from L23, or is return fire only after units in L24 have maneuvered? And since casualties are taken before landings, if I'm reading it right, there's not a lot of reason not to flank the beach forts if you can.
