Insane Hoyt bow you have there and I really like the setup you did there. Really good choice on Gas bow strings I also run them on my RX-1 and will be on my new fully loaded RX-8 that I just got. And yes I'm a huge Hoyt fan nothing but Hoyt over here. I got my bow running hot at 74lbs draw weight and I love it. I built my bow fully loaded including the new Garmin Xero A1I PRO site. Enjoy your new Hoyt bow and good luck in 2024 hunting season buddy!!!

I've been doing something similar in my stab bases like you have done with Oring. I use a bigger size. It totally takes the vibration that stabs make out. I've got all the new HOYT bows. I love this one but last yrs Cam rolls over smoother. And has more back wall.
@RAX-OUTDOORS7 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience with the stab bases and comparing the current HOYT bow to the previous year's model. It's valuable to hear firsthand feedback on the differences in performance and feel. Have you made any other modifications to enhance your setup?
@michaelmangino98197 ай бұрын
@@RAX-OUTDOORS the best thing I've done is put a larger silicone/rubber ring around all my stab bases. However I don't do it on the HOYT SMALL plug stabs that come stock. I noticed the huge resonating vibration coming from my ShrewdRevX stabs when I shot my bows. That makes huge diff. Also I don't tighten the stabs down all the way either once the rubber piece on. That makes things not as good. My setup on my bows is- Hamshea Epsilon rest, AxcelRheotech 5pin picatinny mt.. ShrewdRevX 10in front. And I don't use the backbar, only the .8oz weight end. I've found that the backbar also created vibration. So just using the SL sidemount w just the weight.

Oh God that classic beginner noob archer click bait title 🤦♂️ Any real archer worth their salt knows neither one is better. They are both (as well as all the other top brands) top of the line state of the art bows & its 100% personal preference. None of them have an advantage over the other. There is no best. That's like saying what hiking boot is the best. The one that fits your foot the best
@RAX-OUTDOORS11 ай бұрын
You're absolutely right! Archery is a personal journey, and what matters most is finding the bow that suits you and your shooting style. It's not about one brand being better than the other; it's about personal preference and what feels right. Just like choosing hiking boots, the best bow is the one that fits you perfectly. Happy shooting!

Am I the only one that thinks the opposite about the draw cycles? My RX7 at 72 pounds feels like 60, but when I shoot 70 with Mathews i feel like im trying to pull down a brick wall.
@RAX-OUTDOORS Жыл бұрын
it's interesting how draw cycles can vary for different bows and poundages. Everyone's experience can be unique based on their preferences and the specific bow they're using. Do what feels most comfortable for you and suits your shooting style! 🏹

Looks like a cool arse place for western type hunting shots. Gotta be practiced up really well for this. Puts your skill level in perspective super fast. I will say there’s too much crazy narrative etc and the constant music? is annoying and irrelevant. More on how and why of each shot would add tons of quality to this. The camera operator needs a stick rest as there’s too much shaking. And faster better zoom on the targets. But, I stayed till the end. And a score between you guys would be awesome to. 👍👍👀👀

Thanks for your feedback! We really appreciate your insights. It's great to hear that you found the channel interesting, and we'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration. Other then “ because I can”, why did you select an 80# draw bow? Seriously, just always wondered why each person choices are in draw weight. 👍👍
@RAX-OUTDOORS Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Awesome question! So, the reason we went for an 80# draw bow is because it gives us that extra oomph needed for the kind of hunting we do. You know, like taking down bigger game and shooting from a bit of a distance. It's all about finding that sweet spot between having enough power for a strong shot and still being able to aim well. So yeah, hope that clears things up a bit!
@timbow50 Жыл бұрын
@@RAX-OUTDOORS reason I asked you is I’ve been bow hunting for over 55 years. I’m 72 now and have taken a bull moose 12 years ago at 40 yards with a 62# bow using and 474-5 grain fixed two blade Magnus. The arrow passed thru and was barely hanging by the vanes on the offside at the shoulder. Not being sarcastic in my question to you but was just curious as your reasoning. GOOD LUCK this year! 👍👍👀
