You guys made a fun video here for sure. Kinda hard to have a duel of bows in a dang hurricane. IMO, one of the most important criteria is a smooth even no dump draw. Sure, probably a little slower but speed is very seldom the tiebreaker. 👍👍

I shot Hoyt since I was 19 and nothing but Hoyt. I’m 47 now and I just switched to Mathew’s. I will just say this I will finish out my hunting career with a Mathew’s. In my opinion it’s day and night difference between the two. I only buy a new bow every 3 years but when the price of the bare bow starts getting close to $2,000 it’s time to shop around.

Great shoot off. It seems the mathews grip is their downfall on shots past 50 yards. I prefer Hoyt myself, which is faster at the shorter draw length settings 28 inch and down.

Am I the only one that thinks the opposite about the draw cycles? My RX7 at 72 pounds feels like 60, but when I shoot 70 with Mathews i feel like im trying to pull down a brick wall.

The Hoyt was quieter by far. It looked a little harder to draw but there's a 5lb difference. Also that's going to vary on the shooter. The side view slow mo towards the end. Gave a good visual for why the Mathews was louder.

That Phase 4 needs the string stop adjusted. You should be able to fit a playing card between the string & stop.

Not a good idea to base your purchase on the sound from someone's bow on a video. Shoot a couple of new ones side by side without the quivers and I guarantee you'll be surprised.

Oh God that classic beginner noob archer click bait title 🤦‍♂️ Any real archer worth their salt knows neither one is better. They are both (as well as all the other top brands) top of the line state of the art bows & its 100% personal preference. None of them have an advantage over the other. There is no best. That's like saying what hiking boot is the best. The one that fits your foot the best
