I find it interesting that the truck uses rubber tires on a steel rail. I wonder if that provides the ability to produce higher tractive effort per pound of weight on the drive axles.

That’s the first time I’ve seen a hi-rail semi actually have a train horn, let alone an air horn instead of using the normal car horn. Impressive CN did this.

Those are good switchers for heavy grade. They suck for long haul. We used to have them in Mojave CA years ago
