Good information Nanay thank you! I had Valiant Grapes but when we hit that -50 C last winter or was is March? a lot of my plants died. i have 4 more Valiant Grapes now doing really well. I do plan to over winter them more carefully this coming season. I live in Rocky Mountain House AB so also zone 3. Salamat and pa'alam.
@gardeningwithnanay12 күн бұрын
Oh when it's -40 here I make sure my grapes are covered with snow or leaves, that's why I keep dried leaves for insulation during winter.

Hi Nanay, how's your plum doing this year? Is it a Pembina? What pollinator variety do you have? Thanks.
@gardeningwithnanay18 күн бұрын
Hello! I have some neighbors that have plum to pollinate mine, I am sorry I don't the variety they have but my plums are doing good despite the snap frost in spring. It will not be as abundant like last year but we are still expecting good harvest. Oh by the way I just pruned today because I missed pruning in spring.
@gsatiucla513918 күн бұрын
@@gardeningwithnanay I was at Home Depot last weekend. They have the Pembina. The tag indicates 2 pollinator varieties but they were not available. I'm also worried about the summer heat. Maybe I'll wait until September/October when it cools down. Thank you.
@gardeningwithnanay18 күн бұрын
@gsatiucla5139 I have another plum tree that needs another pollinator. I will check home depot as well!

@@gardeningwithnanay Are you particular as to when you move potted tree into the ground? I'm confused because some say it is best in Spring while others say in the Fall. Just trying to learn from others that have good success. Thank you.

Hi sister, i love to watch your channel. I am from Edmonton, AB zone 3. I saw in this video that you have valiant grape Vine. I have 3 year old valiant and last year I harvested for first time. I am very excited to my grape vine turn to green. Unfortunately I cannot see anything live. I am wondering that how is your grape vine after the above video. Is it have any new shoots coming from the base?
@gardeningwithnanay18 күн бұрын
Hello! My grapes are all alive this year. I am sorry to hear your grapes did not come out sooner or later , but this happened to my other vine one spring time and it came back very late and is now growing well. If it helps, I can give you free seedlings if you want. I live near WEM , about 10 minutes drive only.

@gardeningwithnanay4 ай бұрын
well according to google you are zone 5 or 6, so maybe at the end of March using the water method, then plant outside when the weather gets warm for you.

This year I started germinating moringa in Feb & kept in warm places near fireplace. It germinated quickly & transplanted in small pot. Started growing. Lets see how it grows in Cslgary, Canada.
@gardeningwithnanay4 ай бұрын
moringa don't like to be transplanted, that could be the reason why it stunted growth, Try growing again with a bigger , longer pot where you plan to keep it longer
