A lady sent me some moringa seeds abot a year ago, and she sent instructions with them. I followed the directions, but since they were a bit older (I think she had them for a while and decided to give them away because she had no success), I soaked them for about a day and a half, if not a little longer. Then I just placed them in a snack-sized ziplock bag (without the paper towel) and placed them in my kitchen towel drawer next to the stove. Over half of them have germinated, and I planted them in a plastic bin and some in plastic planters. I wish I had done the red cup method - yours look amazing! I'm praying that mine will do well, also. The instructions said that one shoot is a bit furry and that side should be up, exposed to the sun. Apparently, that is the shoot that will produce leaves. I will leave them in the containers until I think the roots need more room to expand, and then, in order not to disturb the roots that often, I'm thinking to transplant each tree in something a little bigger than what you are showing. I've never grown Moringa before, and I'm a little nervous, but God has blessed all the things I have sowed so far, so I'm counting on His goodness once again. Thank you so much for the video. You should have many more subscribers, so I'm going to be the next subscriber.💚(for growing food)💛(for friendship).

Hi Danielle! I start in June or July. But starting in May should be okay. I avoid transplanting as much as possible so I just leave them in their original pot until they overgrown it because they don't like their roots disturbed. @@gardeningwithnanay oo tama marami nga nagsasabi. gusto ko lang malaman ang klase ng lupa para sa 6 to 12 months old na. at klase ng buto kasi may napanuod ako yung iba mapait ang hitsura ng moringa nung lumaki ay pula ang tangkay then yung dahon green, yes tama naman green but should be green din ang stem. gusto ko lang makasiguro na tama ang seeds kasi nakakatakot di ako familiar pa sa mga halaman dito.

What kind of soil did you use? Did you mix it with sand?
@gardeningwithnanay
@gardeningwithnanay 2 жыл бұрын
yes I did mix it with sand, but it gets heavy and more hassle to transplant so I prefer mixed with perlite which is lighter and more manageable.

Kapag winter po diligan nyo lang ng konti. Lagay nyo po sa west or south window or grow light. Mag-dormant po sya kapag very cold na. Okay lang po putulan nyo para di gaano mahirapan. Basta wag nyo itatapon yung paso kahit mukhang wala na pong buhay kasi sa loob po ay may buhay na buhay pang ugat.

what is white stuff you usd?
@gardeningwithnanay
@gardeningwithnanay Жыл бұрын
it is called perlite, it helps with drainage so the roots will not rot, if perlite is not available in your area, you can use sand or gravel.
