IT'S YOUR OWN FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SYSTEM. I'm sick of people using the Truth & Reconciliation movement to perpetuate the sympathy onto child abusers. Sure, the system is ground zero but let's look at the TRUTH of NOW. This girl is gaslighting herself. We Indigenous people need to hold child abusers in our community accountable instead of rocking them up to a microphone for public sympathy. It's very triggering for us younger people who have been abused by them. This language only protects them and points the finger at the system. It's wrong. It's a half-truth so they can avoid their own shame of how they failed us. We all have a responsibility to break the cycle.

My school was very toxic. They had a really big obsession over sports. And honestly they would expand the school every few years just to compete with the bigger school districts like Milwaukee. The kids that went to the sports and that stuff were usually the very toxic ones. And there a lot of spoiled kids that went there. I've had serious depression back in those days. If you live in Wisconsin you've probably heard about D.C Everest.

College was the worst decision I ever made. The doors that it opened for me I should have closed. The lifetime of debt will shadow me until death. I lied to myself and that is my responsibility. Knowing there is no application or synthesis to my education in the marketplace rots my soul from the inside out. If you want education get a library card.

the argument "addictive therefeore bad" is not a scientific arguemnt. Coffee and caffeine is very addictive but nobody is here making video saying that is bad for you (cos actually we know evidence indicates it is good for you). So this still doesn't answer the whole point of the video. What's the difference between getting addicted to Ritalin or Adderall instead of coffee (or in addition to coffee) if you do not have adhd? and what if you do have adhd? I have adhd and I am very much addicted to coffee, the only way to be function is to just use Ritalin. So now I am addicted to ritalin. Is this bad?? still zero science investigating this, and people keep failing at making this very simple consideration.

I'm incredibly late to the party, both to this video and with my diagnosis. But it's like Dr.Gloria said, I told my friends I was brushing my teeth with an electric tooth brush that has a built in timer, and instead of just speed run brushing my teeth I was actually able to wait for the timer to finish. Nice. Very Cool. I actually brushed my teeth for more than 30 seconds, thank you Vyvanse 😂 Seriously though, so far I'm having a great experience on meds.

Minimum wages should be abandoned altogether. For example, we in Finland do not have a statutory minimum wage at all, unlike in the USA. Salary is something that employers and employees agree on themselves or the unions that representing them, and Finland is still doing well this way.

Yeah when I was a kid, I thought that age should be 10. Now at 26, I don’t know about 10, but I support lowering it from 18. I’d say 15 is a good age.

I'm 45 and was diagnosed a couple of months ago, the meds have had a HUGE positive impact. Basically my mind is quieter which means I can focus at work. I get so much more done because I don't feel overwhelmed l. Wish I had been diagnosed decades ago. Just being able to get up and tidy the house was huge. Being able to think about all the things I need to do without getting stressed is amazing. And now I know so can also find ways to do things when I have a day or so break from the meds.

I have duel citizenship with Spain and the US, Born in Spain but was raised in the US. I get my medical and dental stuff done in spain every year about twice a year and I save so much money, I just got full dental implants done 3 months ago in Madrid and it only cost $2500 US dollars compared if I got it done here it would cost around $50,000. Yeah fuck the US health care system.

Well sure I mean you can look on a map and see where all the gang violence is and guess what it's brown and black neighborhoods. You can also look at where the more wealthy and better schools are which are in the white neighborhoods. Yes they're better because they have less brown and black people and the kids go there to learn but they also have a better higher income level which gives them more money to recruit better teachers. It's time for that instead of looking for a handout which we given to the black community for years we started asking them to step up and take care of their own. Stop blaming other people for your problems and start solving them for yourself😮😢

AOC is not a good example of young leadership.... she encouraged riots and vandalization to our countries flag and national monuments. The citizens of New York want her gone. I hope that young voters see the urgency in researching these politicians outside of what the mainstream media reports about them. Look up how they vote on the Bills and Policies that matter to you the most. They can tell you what you want to hear on those topics, but do they vote in the direction you need them to? Your vote matters, do your due diligence as an American <3

I can't say "Trickle Down" has helped anyone other then the wealthy. Lots of comments here talk about the pros and cons of "Lifting the Bottom" up. Very little thought is given to perhaps bringing the "Top Down". If we truly cared for each other (regardless of class, status, etc...), We would learn from the past (Gilded age, Reaganomics, Great depression, etc...). It seems all we do is fight ,fight, fight, repeating history over and over again.

If you have been diagnosed with ADHD and you take adderall for some people this might not work for me it does it definitely gets me thru the day and focus like never before but only use it during the week for work. Anything else in life enjoy it without it.

I got diagnosed with "possible ADHD" recently at 28. Doctor started me on a nonstimulate. While my brain doesn't go brrr or have a 100 tabs open anymore, I still struggle with motivation to do the simplest things. I'm hoping that once it builds up in my system that it will change or we can get me on the right medication to help with that.

It was actually methamphetamine that the german soldiers widely used in ww2. It was sold under the brand name pervitin and they took it to increase alertness, lessen the need for sleep and boosted performance. H*tler was injected by wide range of subtances including methamphetamine. Other armies around the world did use amphetamine to boost the soldiers performance but specifically the german army used methamphetamine bc it was believed to work even better and it did but the soldiers had severe side effects including bad hallucinations and exhaustion when the drug became wearing off.

If people without adhd can get addicted to ritalin because if makes them feel like they perform better than they really are, is this effect not present with people with adhd because they *really* perform better (and therefore feel better with good reason)?

I have a question. I completely agree that anyone with enough age should have the right to access the book they want, believe what they want, and express themselves. At the same time, parents have the freedom to regulate the kind of education their children receive while they aren't adults. So, what happens if a parent doesn't want to ban a book but does not agree with the book's message? Imagine a teacher making the book an assignment for a test. Do they have the freedom to not make their children read that book? Is that freedom respected too? Or, on the other hand, we all have to read those books as a mandatory obligation.

This is something Ive looked into quite a bit. The origin of Min Wage, the repercussions of it and the like. The thing is there is only so much money to go around and people who own businesses will always be against it. Some because they literally cannot afford it, and others because they refuse to give up their life style because they think their employees don't deserve it. 1:47 The original intention of minimum wage was brought on by FDR who said that Americans deserve more than a bare subsistence of living. Companies were taking whole sale advantage of their factory workers. Fast food and retail have existed well before the min wage law was enacted.

A lot of people say the joining the military is a bad idea. There is active duty and non-active duty, and both are completely different. More focus and attention are brought more to active duty soldiers because they do the most fighting and they also get the most challenge and the government doesn’t really hold their hand. Non-active duty is when you are in the army, have a regular job, and take a physical test every two months. The military stereotype is being on active duty. People just saying that “the country doesn’t care about us” isn’t entirely true, because these people are willing to do these kinds of things.

ADHD is super complex. My meds help with the overstimulation so that I can concentrate on learning. For thé first time in my life I’m able to focus and thrive in the education system having gone back later in life. However, it didn’t help me in areas of organizing my life and cleaning etc. but for me that was always a way of procrastinating. It’s still a daily battle but meds help to overcome the sensitivities and go about your day like a normal person and just not be so affected by everything around you.
