Honestly the least important and last thing you should care about. Even speaker and pick is more interesting and meaningful.
@MichaTulik3 ай бұрын
@@BeefNEggs057 I would agree, however I still think it's very important where it comes to "edge of breakup" tones and especially with the unit such as Tonex that is capable of giving of all the dynamics and details of the real amp. But the fact that the Tonex has input trim gain setting, somewhat destroys this argument because you can tone down some single coils that have too much output etc.

Never mind, i found your Tutorial 😂 take care, man!
@MichaTulik7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it! Thats actually a very difficult question to answer and that would be a very topic for a whole lesson. The way I always approached things like that was to listen over and over again the small parts, even if its only 1 or 2 notes, and trying to replicate the way it’s being played. I think the best way to practice it is to take some examples like the first two notes of the solo ( 13 fret slide to 15) and find a proper way to attack the first note. It has to be one movement, almost like you’d be strumming your strings. Also it’s important to use your right hand palm to mute the strings that are above the note. I hope that I answered at least some of your questions. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the reply! Gear wise One can just Stick to your Tutorial, Right?
@MichaTulik7 ай бұрын
@@gru813 Pretty much yes. Since I released this video I’ve been using lots of different gear. Right now I use Tonex very often for amp modeling but still - for this type of tone you’d need some kind of TS style pedal, because amp distortion only won’t get you this type of sound. I’m planning to make another tutorial how to get this sound with plugins only.

@MichaTulik9 ай бұрын
Oh, what happens when you try to import them? As far as I know the only way to import the preset is to just drag and drop it from your file explorer to the preset list of your S-Gear. If you click on "PRESETS" you should see the list and some empty slots.

Vox AC30 is an incredible amp with so much vocal flexibility it really makes itself the one amp to rule them all. You want that Orange Crush distortion, too easy. You want that Marshal reverb, too easy. That Fender twang, not a problem and so much more all without pedals or mods.
@MichaTulik11 ай бұрын
It really is one of my favourite amps, even though I never had a chance to play a real VOX amp in person. What I specificaly like in those amps is how well they sit in the mix without being too harsh ( however you propably could dial them to be very brittle if you'd like to ). Thanks for the comment!

@MichaTulik11 ай бұрын
Thank you ! I used plugin version of the Tonex in this video and I usually don't touch any input/output levels in the plugin itself. On the audio interface i set the gain so it gives a strong signal but I make sure it doesn't peak the input. Also whenever I use the Tonex pedal with the same captures ( from Amalgam Audio ) I normally set the trim lvl to 0db.

Hi! I have a Boss Volume clean Boost/Feedback pedal (with mid boost control knob), an Ibanez Tubescreamer, a Compressor pedal and a generic overdrive pedal. Would using the clean boost pedal into the tubescreamer get me a similar sound? (using a Fender Blackface style amp). Thanks.
@MichaTulik Жыл бұрын
Clean boost type of pedal is pretty much boosting all the frequencies evenly. Thats why the results may be a little different. I would try to crank the mid boost control knob on the clean boost pedal, which is in front of the Tube Screamer, but I never tried it that way, and I'm not sure how it's going to sound. Let me know about the results when you try it !

Alot of guitarists see him as just the sweet child or first november rain solo guy but we diehard fans know there's stuff like this, SMKC, and Snakepit that showcase what he really can do! Although, I have to give it to some gnr songs like Coma, Locomotive and Estranged (to name a few).
