Well, first off its evidence of one person which could be entirely coincidental, so it's not exactly endemic. Secondly, if the only punishment it "move to a business account" which cadgy already said he'd do once they told him to, he's made a sensible decision, if he's sold £20k this year then he's about £3k richer than he would be! Same for any other business seller moving to private. Lastly, this is once again all heresay, you've not told us anything we don't already know. On the ebay email announcing no fees, they even said they'd go after business sellers selling on private, what we still dont know (and no one knows) is the criteria. Still, im glad to see you've bounced back, even if it as a result of someone else's misfortune. That doesnt paint you in a fantastic light tbh.

Well some private sellers who sell for more than £1000/year may still be laughing. As long as you accept returns and declare all the income to HMRC on time it is not really illegal to use a private account. Ebay might prefer to charge business fees and have you open a business account but then again why offer 300 listings a month to a private seller (?). Think about this....someone who sells 300/ a month will be a business...I know a person who still uses a private account (not for 100s of thousands tho). So Ebay may 'come after him' and report him to HMRC <-- and HMRC will do nothing as all the income was declared

I think eBay needs a complete overhaul of their fees. I sell second-hand stuff and will be competing against private sellers (weather genuine or not), and they will be able to sell cheaper. Thus, they have an unfair advantage. Maybe ebay should do fees and postage similar to vinted??

I’ve had it on my own channel with bands I’ve filmed and worked for. Just brush it off move on and don’t answer them! If you ignore them they go away. For instance someone kept goading you and I made a joke, but one of your videos came up from years ago and you didn’t even hide any facts, you wear your heart on your sleeve which is why you are popular here, just enjoy it for what it is! I’ve been searching for hours and I still feel I’ve got no clear answer. I am the opposite, keep reading worrier after worrier for people who don’t re sell. I RE SELL and make a profit. A profit more than £1000. When I sign up to Vinted pro and send one of those forms. How much percentage am I looking at having to pay and what are the brackets?
