Oh shit. I found one in the trash. No grille and speaker surround torn. Repaired speaker with Rizla papers and glue. Sounded so weedy as a PC speaker, I cut a folded card tube with a slot in the baffle. Much better sound. But value went from 305 to zero dollars!

Ernie ballz are absolutely atrocious when you look up close to their discard quality winds. Their jazz flats for 5string bass are a joke that would cover a 30 minute video roast. Their guitar strings pop e and b and bigE fast. Ernie Ball can't handle quality production of strings. Bout to try S942 .09-.42 first time on a CHarveL DS-1 Standard after a long marriage to DiAddario Awesomeness, just because "SIT: that's just what they have..." I JUST WANT TO PLAY MY CHARVEL. Lets see what SIT with unwound G is like...~C< 3)>>-Z->}

@@ThatGuitarGuysChannel I feel THAT, i had to wetsand the jazz flats with 400-800 grit and WD40 JUST TO PLAY THEM AT ALL. Looks like the prices are comparable to Reverb, which is to say they are about 20% higher than what they will sell for. Kind of a shame because people can check the guitars out in person but may not realize the prices are inflated. I would think a better strategy would be to have the guitars at least 15% lower than Reverb -- after all, no seller fees, people can see and play the gear, no shipping involved and people are perhaps feeling the urge to buy, having come perhaps a long way to the show and want to leave with something. But I've never been to a guitar sale show or talked to a seller about pricing strategy, so I really don't know....
@ThatGuitarGuysChannel
@ThatGuitarGuysChannel 11 күн бұрын
@MarkBarna1 like anything, if you put a good or fair price on it, people will ask for you to take less. So I do agree with you. I also know why it's inflated. Buy the time you haggle you get it for what you should. Or close, I recommend going to a few. It's 👍

Sounds like a plan for the Silverburst when i replace the 490's and 498. The funny thing is Owen told me he likes the paf's better so were putting stupid expensive Virgil Arlo PAF's in it. He had 1960's T-tops in it with alnico 5 magnets. Thank you for the support and opinions! God bless

Maybe my comment was misleading...I think I was the person who mentioned that a 496R is typically paired with the 500T. It's not to say you can't mix a ceramic bridge pup with an Alnico neck pup like a 490R. Honestly you can go with whatever combo suits the style of the guitar and the player. If it's meant to be a metal guitar though, it just seems like you would want something hotter and less muddy than a 490R in the neck. But totally your call.
@ThatGuitarGuysChannel

I don't think the 490R and 500T are not going to balance very well for a Buckethead style guitar. 490 is Alnico / 500 is ceramic. Might wanna source a 496R to match that 500T better.

Couldn't even sell a brand new Peavey guitar amp brand new in the box for $100 either . I won't return

Good odds those BC Rich's at the 1st table were US made. Those are much more rare than 99% of what you focused on. When you are at a show and 90% of everything has a Gibson label on it..... Gibson isn't the rarities. Those are the guitars no one has been buying. Also, what something ia $4599 it's not a 4500 guitar its a 4600 guitar. Another piece of constructive criticism.... Rickenbacker. Not Becker.

Really just blew my flipping mind (like a whole new way to play electric guitar). Just realized tonight how coordinated he must be between use of his fretting/tapping hand and his kill-swith hand o do that. Crazy good.
