I’m a bit late here but the lilac fabric would make a gorgeous maxi skirt it would be wasted as cushion covers. What did you make with it in the end?

For the D&G fabric, I'd go with the flat front gathered skirt, then hack the bodice from the McCalls pattern into a matching top. (I'd hack the back of the M8282 bodice/top to have a shirred panel rather than the zip, for comfort and ease.) Then you'd get the best of both worlds: a cute summer set with the look of the dress you like, and then a skirt that could get a lot more wear with other garments in your wardrobe.

I think you should make a gathered skirt and a top like the Anthea blouse. Together it would look like a dress, but they would both be great as separates. The whole outfit would look just stunning on you! The other option would be the ME pattern you made out of the solid green fabric. Sorry, I can’t remember the number. I can’t wait to see what you decide. I really enjoy your videos.

I love the skirt you made and based on what you said, it sounds like you'd get a lot of wear out of a similar skirt with the rose fabric! For the blazer, I wonder if you'll even need interfacing or if that upholstery is sturdy enough on its own? Can't wait to see what you make!

How about the mimig simplicity 9597 for the floral fabric. You could also stitch the back closure for a bow or shirring. It looks fitted but has no zipper and the back waist has elastic. I think the fabric needs to be a fabulous dress.

My favorite thing that you said you learned is that wearing me mades makes you feel more powerful. I have never actually thought of that, but when you said it, I really connected and related to that thought! I totally feel that way! I've heard it said, to choose three words to describe your style. It's great that you took pics over the month, so you can observe your tendencies. Personally, I also find it very difficult to describe my style. Because sewing is creative, I do experiment with patterns and styles. I do not feel guilty for what I produce, not for making practice garments. I am trying to hone my skills. I think other forms of art and creativity also use up materials, and that's ok too. Anyway, this was a thought-provoking video, and I really enjoyed it!

I enjoy your content - you give honest accounts for your makes and are so enthusiastic in the sewing community! I also enjoy your content as I'm 5ft tall and very petite, so take inspiration from your makes as we are similar builds. Like you, I love bold and standout prints. However, bold fabric wears me rather than me wearing a garment. I wear lots of plain fabric, but I like the idea of jazzing up the look with bold jackets, bags, belts and accessories! Thank you for the idea. I am always on the hunt for border fabric to have some print with a largely plain background. I love your style, and find your content inspiring - THANK YOU!
