It's seriously all of these DJIdiots that either don't bother reading up on the laws who are causing all of these drone problems. One of the big reasons DJI removed their geofencing feature is because they don't update it to add TFRs, and that's why this dude was able to fly in an airspace that was restricted. A lot of people think that if the geofencing allows them to fly, that it's perfectly legal and safe. Now I have to pay the federal government damn near $100 a year and buy extra hardware to slap on my drones just to legally fly them. Thanks guys

It's damn near impossible to fly a drone without committing a crime now. Before taking my Part107, I had no idea that literally every time I've flow, I've broken at least one law. I was never doing anything unsafe, but there's just that many stupid rules

In UK you have to accompanied by a guardian to fly fpv . Even in your own house 😆 😅. I was flying fpv in my back garden and Karen neighbour reports me i was ordered to land and threatened with a fine because I didnt have a drone guardian / companion....

Close but wrong. You don’t have to look at the drone 100% of the time, you just have to be able to see it. If you are only watching the drone 100% of the time you can’t scan for air traffic. So glancing at the screen for a few seconds at a time is okay as long as you look up and have VLOS of the drone. But yea flying fpv alone with goggles is technically illegal.

And yet DJI has still found a way to weasel into the hobby with the air units 😂

There is a middle ground. The original DJI FPV drone (the grey potato), Avata series and Neo all can be flown with the motion controller, and it uses a unique flight mode which is GPS/vision guided, but gives an FPV experience that almost anyone can pilot. I've had various friends and family pick it up and fly with confidence in less than a minute.

I would love to get a drone. I've flown the mini ones inside. They're hard to control because I get the stick positions turned around. A real drone with a forward facing camera would allow me to actually control it.

In the industry it's called LOS. Line od sight, you must visually see your drone. FPV your looking through the drones eyes and not visually watching the drone.

i was flying in an abandoned factory just having some fun cop showed upp told me that i wasnt allowed i asked why i wasnt hurting anyone or selling drugs nor taking drugs and commiting any crimes so please leave me to my toys and let me have some fun he said fair point and left me alone

They don't require me to have a license because my drone is under 250 grams, but I'm not allowed to fly it beyond VFR? Also, it's a regulation, not a law.
