I really hoped that you as an FPV pilot would talk about these micro shakes that are visible in literally every single clip out there, including the ones from DJI's own promo videos. There's even some full-screen jello in their main video (in the "DJI - Introducing DJI Action 2" video around 1:44 the desert shot).

The judder you mean?? That's a result of people mismatching source footage with sequence footage in editing software; usually happens around slow-mo or speed ramps. Do you mean something else???
@FilipRadelic3 жыл бұрын
@@TheTomJon no, it's also very clearly visible in every single 100% speed clip. Are you seriously not seeing this? It's super obvious. See also comment from BoscoTV about 3h ago.

First, nice review for FPV folks! Also, that intro music was 'sick' (didn't find any music links in your video so not sure if that was Arlist | Epidemic Sound | or some other resource). Would love to know where that music was from. I have the GoPro 9 and GoPro 10 and your was really the first video I've watched regarding the footage from FPV so haven't quite made up my mind yet if it's worth spending the $$ on another action camera. Initial thoughts are I may wait for a firmware (or two) update before deciding. For the FPV footage I like I'm using ReelSteady GO and it doesn't appear the new DJI Action 2 camera is quite there yet. Again..thanks for the review and video footage. Much appreciated.....I know how long it takes to put these videos together. Looks like you really got some good lead time on testing this product (which is cool). I know most guys probably only had a few days to test.

5:45 - There's a little slot in the front and "Team Black Sheep ND Filters" or "Camera Butter ND Glass"... pretty standard use in the FPV community and they are 5-10$ each.... gives good protection too!

OK ... so no way to power it on the quad, you need to rely on the internal battery which will last for 30min 4K filming only (adding in setting up the exposure & other menu tasks it will be even less left for filming). Only 32gig internal memory with approx 20 free & available ... & so far no way to move from internal memory over to the modules SD card. In my opinion & for quad use I want ... the lightest setup ... being able to use external power ... have enough onboard memory space, with the possibility to fast retrieve it once landed ... being able to easily change the outer lens glass ... being able to use & quickly change ND filters. If mounting the camera with the GoPro finger mount method: A GoPro 10, set up for external power from the quads battery balance lead ... no battery door ... with a SD card would weigh approx 75g (Gopro 153 - battery 62g + power wire 5,5g + memory card 1g - battery door 22,7g) A DJI Action 2 on the other hand would weigh 82g with the GoPro finger mount (Action 2 56g + mount 26g) ... & not being powered externally & not having sufficient storage, easily retrievable once landed and no simple way to use ND filters. If using some kind of TPU mount instead (assuming approx equal weight Action 2 & GoPro 10 for that) The Gopro 10 setup will be 75g + TPU mount ... & Action 2 will be 56g + TPU mount. Conclusion: Gopro 10 can tick all requirements & be 7g lighter using only the finger mount ... whilst the Action 2 will be 19g lighter if a TPU mount is used but will not tick all requirements about powering & storage.
@TheTomJon3 жыл бұрын
Gopro 10 is a great cam too man. I was able to quickly use and change ND filters? And give it a hot min; this was a pre-release review; I can see the community figuring out real quick how to power it from FC let alone develop all those extra 3rd party gopro products you're citing. I didn't have the time to do such extensive testing let alone risking the cam to mod it with 3rd part power supply units. I could see easily hard mounting a PSU wired to FC into a TPU mount so cam charges while drone is plugged in. As for data; even with that not working it was still quick for me cuz I always carry a laptop and dump data.

No money received and no contracts signed; just helping my buddy Colin out with some b-roll and information about it from the perspective of FPV for his review... Him and I made the Osmo Action video which was the landing video in the Osmo app when the OA1 was released so he reached out for my input on the new one. His review was un-paid work BUT he was paid to make a few social media commercials for the camera's release (if I'm not mistaken here).
