Just to clarify.. little houses and elf statues you might see in peoples gardens, they are just cute ornamenfs. There is absolutely no connention here to icelanders belief in elves. This is a common misunderstanding with tourists.

Hi TIN and FIN - We had exactly the same experience - for the price of 2700 Euro per Person, one could at least expect covered seats, Toilettes that deserve this name and food stands which actually have something to buy. It was absolutely ridiculous. I thought the Paris folks was exceptionally friendly, but in fact, it was unbelievably arrogant to ask such a price for soo much nothing. Public viewing in the rain. The only good thing was the sound system. We were cheated, really cheated.

I have to say your real down on the Vietnamese traffic experience. I am an American and currently live in Dak Lak and traffic can be hard here as well but if you know what your doing on a motorbike and are smart enough to take care of it and keep looking 1 step ahead you will be fine. Cars can be you friend or enemy as well as Packs of motorbikes can be good defense against cross traffic.

Great info thank you. In my experience on Phu Quoc it was either 5 star resort areas with nice beaches or 1 star poor local areas. I was missing the clean and fun in between 3 star areas with good food and bars wo paying 5*

As a local we encounter so many nasty stuff that we highly recommend not to go on any of those tours. Animal crematoria have high peaks after the end of season and just like everywhere else dogs get dropped for being too slow, non compatible etc. It's a puppy mill every year. And maybe the most important part of all is that their is none controlled over view whatsoever. Every one can start a kennel here. And if convicted for animal cruelty in Norway, you can just open a kennel here and do it all over again. Besides all of the above, it is a non traditional activity! It was created here for one purpose only: making as much money as possible!

Outstanding video. About time someone showed others what nit wits we have driving here. My customers come in all the time with "road rash" I run Big Daddy's axe throwing club in Saigon and get many ex pats. All have fresh skin removal or scars from past driving incidents here. The stories I hear. I ride a dirt bike. Been riding off road and and moto cross 50 years and that prepared me just to drive to the store here. If you aren't an experienced bike rider? Take a grab or Be car. You'll live a lot longer.

So you saw the windsurfing competitions?? My brother is a former world champion windsurfer and helped the sport into the Olympics !!
