Thank you! Towns are a rarity even with my license. In the UK, there’s 2 levels pretty much - A2 CofC and GVC. It’s also down to weight of drone. For example, it helps me use drones under a certain weight threshold kind of in a similar way to those flying sub 250g drones. A lot of the time I use sub 250g as well just to save hassle and not attract too much attention. Flying in a town for me is usually only for work on most occasions. If you have 2 willing spotters around then that will help with that.

@@LowryDroneography-Steve I will eventually get the mini 3, but I'm waiting for the drone alone, since I intend on flying it mainly FPV.

​@@LowryDroneography-Steve I for the moment have the Avata 2. Where I am confused is if C1 sub 900g drones are allowed to fly over built up areas or not at this time. I get the people requirement, which under article 16 is 30 meters. Basically that would change everything, as the air 3 would be a much better option than the mini 4 with it's longer flight time and dual cameras. There are so many shots of the London skyline, River Thames etc i'd like to do...

@@SiriusXAim I see. If you haven’t already, you should look into A2 CofC or GVC licenses. The Avata 2 is sub 500g. Yeah they are both great drones, the Mini4 loosens a lot of the restrictions in built up areas and saves hassle, but yeah the dual cameras on the Air3 are a great advantage for certain types of shots.

On the Fly App when you plug the goggles in? I didn’t at first. Just had to update the Fly app itself first then restart everything. Then I can’t remember if it just popped up, or if I had to go into Settings and select Search For Updates.

Nice! Good to hear it. They are different types of drone, but if you want a much more updated (and Mini) version of what you are used to, I would suggest the Mini 4 Pro based on what you’ve said. Depends if you want the FPV thrill! In terms of editing software, there are some out there that fit that description. Off the top of my head, I think Movavi looks pretty straight-forward but also effective. Capcut, iMovie also spring to mind.

Cheers! You’re gonna love it. On this, I remember I was flying at a 36 degree angle. If it’s a slow/more cine style video, then I might be in 20’s.. but if I’m outside somewhere open ripping around, then probably between 35-42 or something right now. Not really gone much higher yet!

Some sort of light reflection from something or maybe a tiny smudge on the ND filter. The latter may have been likely. These are the standard DJI filters. They’re good but I normally tend to get Freewell.

@@LowryDroneography-Steve same issue I faced when I use ND filters of DJI on my Air2. I think they couldn’t fix this issue yet. I watched some Freewell filtered videos there was only flare at some angles.

The only other DJI filters I’ve used other than Avata 2, is for the Mavic 3 and no issues that I can think of. I might get the Freewell ones for this drone at some point.

Cheers bud! I’ve been using VSDC Pro (the paid version) for quite a while. I think I want to switch to DaVinci Resolve, just haven’t made the leap and made my way through learning it yet. TBC haha.

Both look good, and like you say, no work is needed unless your after something specific nice flying 🙏

Same with v1.. but I find the rates it allows to change have worked well on this drone. Due to its design and weight, it has a lot more punch naturally. 👌🏼

@@ldnwalkandfly8617 You had the v1? Same here, used it constantly. I don’t remember it having throttle expo unless I’m missing something. Yeah the comparison between how they fly, particularly in manual mode is very noticeable. I still like v1, its just worth pointing out the blatant differences.

This was shot before I got the DJI Mic 2 kit.. so it was the Lumix S5IIx in built microphone, with the addition of post processing. That’s the only microphone present. I got lucky cos it kind of worked out ok for this, but results are way better with the external mic kit.
