Forget the players... who's the coaching staff? The OC shouldn't be able to call anything ever again in life. The DC couldn't stop water from dripping.

Ok, maybe I’m out of the loop, but I’ve never seen or heard of this. I’m quite sure I never saw an article on SN about it. Kind of a neat concept have these countries compete in this football.

I hope this will make football more popular in Japan!
It's impossible for American football, which is not a global sport, to hold a world championship.

Eles mal conseguem treinar juntos, metade do natal, metade em Mossoró. Estão fazendo o possível pra não deixar morrer o time igual aconteceu com Bulls e Scorpions.

I'm Japanese. To be honest, I didn't even know the difference between American football and rugby until I was in high school. Now I think I understand a little. Rugby can't throw the ball forward, but American football can.

This is so embarrassing! We had thick ones but wasn't big enough against sumo thick ones LOL
The results do not reflect the strength of football in the participant nations. All the best U20 Americans have NCAA scholarships and would never play in this tournament. Why risk the possibility of injury ? In Canada the top tier of players already have scholarships, but there is an untapped pool of talent. The best Canadian players w/out scholarships are very eager to play as this is a last ditch chance to impress the NCAA scouts. I imagine in Japan all their U20s are available.

This tournament is a last ditch attempt for international players to win a scholarship to an NCAA school. In Canada the players have to pay 2000$ to join the team (otherwise the team could not afford to exist). They pay it because they are desperate for that chance. On the USA side the team is composed of leftovers. Players with scholarships would never play. Why risk getting hurt ? If the best under 20s were included the USA could realistically field ten competitive teams, perhaps more.
