It was wild to think i came across your videos as a six year old kid listening to video game covers of Legend Of Zelda and Metroid games. Still listening twenty years later.! Im 26 now and I picked up the guitar in high school, and recently have been learning 8 string electric. I have a particular taste for instrumental music and your music was always one that helped scratch that itch. It takes a lot of talent to have a full composition keep a listeners attention without lyrics in todays world, and its even more impressive to do so all on one instrument. Drifting is a great example of that. Then when i realized you wrote a song inspired by my favorite video game character, my mind was blown. This is so sick dude, and i hope i can have at least a shred of the talent you have haha. I never realized you posted this on here yourself. I had only ever heard the album version! Absolutely amazing piece.

Amazing. Great retelling of a classic. Spent a lot of time growing up watching you, Mr. McKee, as well as Don Ross and many of the other CandyRat crew. Simultaneously incredibly motivating and a stark reminder of the fact my hands don’t work like that.

I’ve been following Andy McKee for a long time. I remember seeing him perform in Seattle around 15 years ago. This song has been with me through some very challenging times and this rendition is absolutely beautiful.
