The all-wheel-drive version of the bZ4X is awesome for tackling different weather conditions. It’s stable and safe even in the rain or snow.

lol, suspension looks pretty bad, no way you can be jiggling like that on a long distance drive and come out feeling like it was okay.

Hopefully the road noise will be improved with the 2025 Model Y. That’s a big reason for potentially going with an EV for me - very little road noise.

I've one question to ask, how is it the best selling car in Ireland given its cost to buy and insure? Even in the north here it's a minimum of £46k and group 46 insurance. I doubt that everyone is that loaded in Ireland to be able to afford such a thing.

@georgewashington3012 probably but the headline statistic is "best selling" which suggests private sales rather than leases as a lease isn't really a sale as such.

5:20 You can press the button on the left-hand stalk to put the wipers into Auto mode, and then left scroll wheel to move between wiper speeds or turn them off.

DON'T BUY, FULL OF SOFTWARE FAULTS. Skoda released the car, knowing it has multiple software faults. There are complaints from all over Europe on English, German and Czech language forum sites. My Superb has been in the dealer car park for nearly 5 months waiting for Skoda to fix the software. Why did Skoda KNOWINGLY sell faulty cars?

Thanks for the detailed review! I’ve ordered one that color with the same interior. I did a test drive, and was able to set all the settings before I started driving. All that I’d want to adjust while driving (like temperature) I could adjust with using voice commands. I would never consider changing any settings while driving :)

@ Some of the many flaws of the car: 1)The electric drive lasts only for 23 km max. 2)The multimedia panel is a total fail. Wrong software updates, getting stuck in the Home Screen very often. 3) The user interface in screen is not functional. 4)The acceleration of the engine is with a lag 5) Wrong position of the main driver buttons and switches. As the owner of a nicely modded MK7 GTI, I must say that the giant IPad in the dash in the MK8’s looks silly and out of proportion. In comparison my MK7’s interior is simple but yet very effective with a mix of analog gauges and small digital display in between. So glad I bought my GTI when I did because she’s such a great street car with a few mods.

Nice review and edit... Dublin born, living in the UK and owner of a MK8 R. Would love to do some driving on these roads. Year or so and i'll be switching to the 8.5.
