Could you use a USB hub to split the signal for OBS and software control? Also does the ethernet port output an NDI stream?
@TheVideoContentFactory21 күн бұрын
Hmm not sure on NDI but I dont believe so and you def cant split signal via usb, but then again all this was solved when they released the extreme model

*Thanks a lot for your great work & help!, but it's pretty bad (very annoying) that you have this problem with the audio background noise* - it is just disturbing and does not help / support the video at all.
@tomschi94855 ай бұрын
hmmm.. maybe, it's a kind of background 'music' and if you are creating the Videos for you, then it's perfectly OK 🙂. But if you're happy if you can address as many viewers as possible, then it does not help.

By the time you buy the bridge, approx. $230, an ATEM MIni Pro ISO $500 (amazon sale), and a low latency capture card $150-200, you might as well save another $420 to buy the Extreme ISO tbh. And the upside you'll have less middlemen devices that create a lot of latency, something you don't need on a professional production. When the Mini Pro Iso first came out you always needed a bridge which was almost $180 less than buying the Extreme ISO. In the end its only a firmware/software wall that Blackmagic doesn't want to fix because its a way to up sale. The Mini Pro ISO spec wise is capable of sending video from the ethernet without streaming. They don't want to fix it because the bridge would die in the market, as it should. If BMD don't create a switcher that sends video out via ethernet without streaming someone will.

Record your iso on the atem mini iso and use the HDMI out to plug into a normal atem mini and use that devices usb to webcam. That would work right? Distribution comes after that, I use NDI for routing. So why all the extra? A normal mini is a great device for capturing. Using a mini extreme iso, only have 4 sources connected, but the double usb and HDMI makes it so much better Now waiting for full HDMI 2.1 atem 😊

2 Questions 1) Is it not possible to get a usb - c Splitter to send both signals to output video and then one to ssd and record like that? 2) Couldn't you just use an hdmi splitter to output to a monitor and to obs and then in obs crop the output to just the program portion? sure quality would be reduced but this would work no?

BM really dropped the ball with not adding two USB-C outputs on these. I'd have rather paid an extra amount to have that. Seems an obvious thing to have done. I was going to just add a memory card to each of my cameras as a back up, but in testing, the cameras drop the 'live' output to the ATEM when recording.

TOO OBSOLETE - why not use the HDMI OUT on ATEM PRO ISO?
@TheVideoContentFactory Жыл бұрын
NOT OBSOLETE - The HDMI out on the ATEM MINI Pro ISO is the ONLY output on that switcher. We still wanted to monitor our cameras with Multiview. The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO solves that issue though with it boasting 2 HDMI outputs and Two USB-C ports (one for web cam out and the other for ISO Recording).

I purchased this setup but for some reason the streaming button just blinks and so the computer is not picking up the capturecard USBC as a webcam. Any ideas?
@votoTV Жыл бұрын
Better take your money and invest to the extreme model. Sadly was not in sight when I bought the pro ISO. Went the line already with 4 hdmi splitters on input plus a 4x1 multiviewer. SoI have HDMI pgm out of the mini available to stream with additional capture interface and to monitor with no delay. The streaming bridge has much too much of delay for serious work.
