I played the original, the sequel, Nemesis, and four, but right after some monstrosity tipped my boat in four, I decided I was done with Resident Evil's sh^t controls and haven't played any more games in the franchise since.

hello friend, I was interested in the review of Xenon 2 MS version, but the video is boring. If I can tell you what I didn't like: - you start explaining things written on wikipedia, but people who are looking for such a niche review, already know them. in fact, we've probably all already played the original on Amiga and now we're trying to understand why the conversions are so bad - as soon as you start the video you tell us what you're going to tell us, instead of saying it directly - the intro music and the effects are nice - we just want to know directly what you like and what you don't like about this specific version of the game

I knew Billy was cheating the second he said he sent a board to Nintendo to get if verified. This is a classic case of creating fake evidence, and when he brings this up in court against Karl Jobst - the judge is immediately going to see right through it. The reason why Billy did this was in case people discovered he was cheating. He could always come back and say "well I sent the board to Nintendo and they verified it, so it can't be cheating." And yes, he used that board at Boomers and at the Mortgage Brokers Convention - the problem is, he didn't set any scores there. Instead, he showed up with a VCR and a pre-recorded VHS of the MAME high score, and at the end of the event he just pulled out the VHS and said "look what I just did!" - that's why there's NO actual video of him playing. He even had a camcorder at both events, yet, the VHS tapes he provided were both direct feed videos. What was the camcorder for? How stupid can you think people are when you have a camcorder pointed at the machine (as shown in pics of the mortgage brokers event) - but the video is all direct feed. Well it tricked TG, so I guess that answers your question about who was stupid enough to believe it.

Greetings from Brazil. I was hooked by the soundtrack of this game for many years. The music and "style" was capable to make me feel the lonely and desolate trip of Landau ( IIRC MC's name ) through Kingdom of Baljinya. The first time I've played this my Master System almos fried with slowdowns ( during the castle battles ). After a few years I was able to finish it using the legendary Meka ( 8BIT OR DIE! ).

I played this game so much as a teen! Though I did just mess around with codebreaker and didn’t really play it. I actually dusted off my old ds and am playing right now with a wiped save to play correctly. Though honestly seeing this amazing port makes me wish Dino Crisis got a DS port. Something like Dino Crisis Desperate Survival or something. I was more into that series as a kid

While the 1992 original is a pioneer of survival horror games, this 2001 reboot is the first modern game in the series. The story, characters, setting and atmosphere are all on point and very engaging. The game has serious flaws though like re-spawning enemies, some very confusing & cryptic puzzles, and the boss fights were at times confusing and frustrating to handle as well due to their puzzle-like sequence. Even so, I enjoyed New Nightmare for what it is, and it was suppose to be the beginning of another trilogy, but those plans got scrapped, which is unfortunate. I feel the series would've been in far better shape had they just proceeded with the New Nightmare reboot trilogy. The 2008 game and 2015 Illumination were so bad, they virtually killed the series. So, it's an amazing miracle that Alone in the Dark 2024 got made which is now possibly the best game in the series thanks to modern gameplay & graphics, and being a faithful & respectful homage to the 1992 original.

@OriginalMasters with how you're talking you seem somewhat like a bit of an ass with a hint of a superiority complex. There is nothing to assume there's ungratitude from him or even the notion that he thinks that an amount of viewers is one that's to be sought after. It always seemed more like someone just making videos because they wanted to, which is how KZbin as a whole always used to be. Not everyone is here forever, nor should they be. As much as people are on the site it is just a piece of their lives, and for some that piece is done with quicker than others. It's just nice to see those pieces that were made while they decided to make them.

@azoz27310 ай бұрын
The first half seemed like an RE1 rip off. When I reached the world of darkness (towards the end) it gave me the Legacy of Kain vibes. I particularily found this section of the game more boring than what the game already was. It seemed as if this section was handled by different developers (no longer note reading, ammo scarcity, or puzzles). These was such a huge gameplay dissonance.

Not to defend Mitchell (I personally don't know whether he cheated or not), but I find your "analysis" (if you can call it that) to be pretty flawed. We know he recorded his scores NOT live but using a video converter that would transfer the in-game screen into a video tape. That is the only truth. Then, you proceed to make a whole ass story with about 3 claims (1) he used mame, (2) he used save states, and (3) he crafted his desire game, and they still still need to be proven (because the fact that he chose this "strange" recording method truly isn't strange -that's quite an opinion- and it truly doesn't prove any of your claims, thus it is evidence of nothing). Much love and take care.
@domenicogonzalez31679 ай бұрын
In his recorded scores you can slow them down to play the video frame by frame and see that it's rendered in an emulator and not on an original machine. You can also find a few frames of stutter from him using save states in these same videos. You can look all of this up yourself. As if now there's no video of him physically playing a game and getting a high score over like 800k.

As someone who coded from the dcast back in the day.. The way they did shadows and the flash light is very clever use of the PowerVR hardware. I kinda wished I played it now.
