Long time have I instructed skaters and don’t understand why most people go right into flipping their board before they learn the basics on a ramp. I guess it seems so much cooler to flip than do a pivot or axel stall or rock and roll but it’s backwards learning.

maybe they dont care. Are you good at street
@skateorbri3 сағат бұрын
@ yes. I suppose you don’t get my point. Imagine how different belts get their mastery through learning the basics first. Like being a black belt 🥋 in jiu jutsu takes levels of learning and building on the basics first.

hell yeah, learned feeble to fakie last week from your videos, they are way too scary for how easy they actually are. But I guess that's skateboarding, everything's impossible until you can do it, then it's easy

Pipe copings all over the world that has a bump on the top is dangerous and stupid! It makes Satan happy though when thousands all over the world hang up and slam.

So much obstacles! Scooters, little kids, other skaters, ramp edges, etc. It's like many accidents waiting to happen! 😮

I know you mention knee injuries, how long did it take for you to get back on the board and be able to do tricks? Have you ever had a broken foot or know anyone that did? How long did it take before they could skate hard? I’m only on day 5 of my broken foot. I should be getting into the podiatrist in the next couple of days to get some more info. Really enjoying the videos my man!

I never understood that trick. There are many tricks nowadays that I can't even comprehend. BTW, if you ever go back to Currituck/OBX, go to Soundside or the parks on the OBX. The park you went to is closest to CHS, but it was really botched, IMO, when it was created as the replacement for the old park (which I loved).

There were cats at Skatercross in Reseda that may have dropped in from the coping when they built the pool. There was a big plywood ramp to the concrete bowls that started the flow through the bowls. This was 1976/77 about then.

Old guy that can kick flip? How are you not hated by everyone? Did you marry a black chick or something?
@beemaster666Күн бұрын
Lol, skaters are built different. Your knee is bad, so you decide to skate the 1 quarter pipe that will toss you flat every time you bail.
@weqrfawe1336Күн бұрын
do you wear any compression for your knees? I also have shitty knees and they don't solve anything but definitely make the day to day a lot better, especially when skating
