Affective forecasting is not the same as antizipatory emotional reactions, it's just the forecasting part, like a weather forecast with emotions. But the idea is interesting and I'm glad you brought it intonthe conversation. I think we all should get better at estimating and more true to ourselves about what really will make us feel good. Getting more skeptical about marketing and focus more about our relationships.

Love it!! As you were talking about fear and disturbance and my husband tried to slip by me while I had my back to him.. and I happened to move back at the same time and bump into him!!! My immediate reaction to that was.."how did I know you were there!!! I haven't got eyes at the back of my head 🙊😂

Hare Krishna 🙏 guruji pranam 🙏🪷 only one question i want to ask... Why do people fight each other in comparison of Krishna and Shiva. Also here in India many says that iskon created differences among the people for this topic. In my case Guruji I always remember Krishna in each God. And never ever compare anyone. Because it looks very bad. As Shiva himself is the greatest among anyone of us who thinks of Krishna all the time 🙏 Please share your thoughts guruji 🙏🪷

Don't be confused. Accept that different people have different views of God, choose different scriptures and prioritize different practices. It is up to each individual to research well, and choose the best and most authentic path. As for those who get agitated by these things, that's just raja-guna and tama-guna in them. There's nothing we can for them except point them in the direction of the path we're on, the Gita, where they too can learn to overcome such influences.

The vast majority of Hindu's worship Shiva as God. Shiva is called Allah in Islam, and God the Father in Christianity. Krishna was believed to be an incarnation of Vishnu, but with energies of Shiva also. That is why he is considered the most powerful incarnation of Vishnu, as he had qualities of Shiva also. Lord Buddha was also an incarnation of Vishnu.

A few caveats: First, the predominant concept in India is Vaishnavism, not Shivaism, so it's not the case that the vast majority worship Shiva, instead they worship Vishnu, more specifically Rama and Krishna. Secondly, God is one. So, it's not that Christians and Muslims are worshiping Shiva, rather they are worshipping God according to their understanding of God. Since we understand God to be Vishnu, Krishna, and even Shiva, then, in that regard, we can state that other religions are worshipping the same God in a general sense, though not in the same sense we are. As for Buda, he's not God, but rather an empowered "avesa" avatar. A soul empowered to help humanity.

Lord Shiva is a god of course, but Lord Vishnu is THE God. Vedas declare him as the para-brahman (the supreme most reality, origin of everything including other gods) in Narayana sukta and he's called the parama-purusha (the supreme consciousness) in Purusha Sukta of the Rig Veda. The rig veda also says that Lord Vishnu creates everyone and everything but no one creates Lord Vishnu. This is why Krishna says in the gita that neither demigods nor sages know of his origin because Krishna is Narayana himself, the ultimate supreme reality, the basis of existence. So while you're right about Hindus worshipping Shiva as a god, just like they worship the sun as a god, you're wrong about them worshipping Lord Shiva as The God (with a capital G).

@@mayanksharma6927 The Vedas also declare Shiva as The God. So I guess it's not worth arguing over. I guess both are The Parabraham. Thanks for the discussion 🙏🙏

@@johnpembroke4899 No Rig veda never mentions him has the para-brahman. In fact, they specifically say that no one and nothing creates lord Vishnu, and no such thing has been repeated for any other god in the vedas. Also, there cannot be 2 para-brahmans, creation would simply be impossible if that were the case (Shankaracharya admits in his Bhashya). The word para-brahman itself refers to one supreme entity and the word supreme (param) requires a hierarchy of things to be self-evident.

Hare Krishna 🙏 guruji pranam 🙏🪷 Guruji the story of gita mahatmaya series give me hope in today's world of Kali Yuga. It gives me hope that Sri Krishna is watching over us and always there to help. Guruji a question i want to ask you about.. when i see the unfortunate ones like animals and humans who are suffering from terrible situations be it health and financial wise. During that moment i always remember Krishna and ask to shower his blessings and mercy on those souls. I'm sure even remembering Krishna not reading the phrase of bhagwad gita will be helpful for their cause?! Please share your thoughts guruji 🙏🪷 pranam 🙏

In truth, there is no need for you to pray for others, but to ACT. You don't love others more than Krishna, nor does Krishna need to be reminded of what others are experiencing. But we all have our dharmas, our responsabilities. And that's what Krishna needs: for us to perform our dharmas to the best of our abilities, and in this way, help the world as we can.

Sounds like Christian theology too. Religion is all the same but different pathways to God
@3tpath
@3tpath 14 күн бұрын
Religions may have similar concepts, but they really do vary a lot. So, it's important to look closely at each, be it to just understand them for what they are, or to choose a path for our lives. This concept explained here really doesn't have any parallels in Christianity. The Holy Trinity is a completely different idea. I did a video about the Holy Trinity and the Trimurti here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJetZYamfJqIf5o

You use the term ‘vedic’ all the time in the video, but never refer to the quotes from the veda. Bhagwat Purana is important, yes, but Purush Sukta refers to Vishnu, not Krishna.
@3tpath
@3tpath 19 күн бұрын
You're correct and, ultimately, God is one. Vishnu and Krishna are the one and same Lord. But, this is a channel on Vedanta, based on smrti, and thus our conclusions go further and explain more detail than found in sruti, in the Veda Samhitas.
