@we-will-see-what-happens Been up there bear hunting for 15 years and sledding for 30. Have many friends who deer hunt and it's tuff hunting real tuff. Woods are unforgiving. When I spent a few weeks with the right equipment there helping them only took one season to change how deer moved. Good luck and love watching.

at our bush camp we planted CRP and mixed vegetables like turnips, beets, corn around our hunting sites. We took a stick with corn and went around the swamp area and use the stick to make a hole and put 2 corn ears in each hole. we put our hut in the middle of the bush and made a cross for the 4 lanes about 10 ft wide up to 200 yards and planted clover, alpha rye, wheat grains wild beans, we did this every spring until it came up years later. Planed pumpkins, squashes ,potatoes stuff like that, On the mountain side we cut some trees falling east to west so the deer can sleep facing the south for protection. Sure miss the hunting camp

You are making a lot of mistakes if you want to see deer. Biggest of all is wondering about the place your going to hunt. A direct line to your blind is best. All you did is drive deer out of your area. How many deer has you camp shot in the last ten years. Can't be many.
@we-will-see-what-happens27 күн бұрын
@@kevinhill8937 the last 5 years we’ve shot 1 deer and barely did any walking. The only time I saw deer was a mile or more from camp on a walk. Since October we had less than 5 deer on camera. But there is a fresh cut 3-4 miles away. And the camps that were hunting those were seeing most of the deer we had at our camp in the summer.
