I prefer this song to be sung in the original setup, so I love Diana's memorizing tonality & pitch-perfect performance the best, but Whitney's performance that deviated from the original was the best I heard here from any artist as her tone & pitch is immaculate. Most artists do not have the breath control to sing this difficult song for the notes jump around. Other excellent versions: Johnny Mathis, Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer, and Margaret Mitchell Bell (gospel version). Luther's was very respectable also. Other artists over sung it, under sung it, or just butchered it for me and I have heard about every artist.
