Some of use have a very hard time with the odor paint had…it lingers for a few months and is very unpleasant to those of us who are allergic

This is BAD taste. REALLY bad taste. It looks like a railroad car/cabin theme. Geezus. People get on KZbin and speak like experts about things that they clearly are not. Bruh, come on. You cannot be seriously thinking you have good taste! Do you even research real designers ..the legends? You would know that your audacity is just…wow.

Given the beige paint and carpet had to remain, you did well, but you were certainly restrained by lack of paint. Beige is a sickly colour, designed for the risk averse. Apologies if I offend beige lovers.

Bravo! The room is interesting and different. It also manages to be restrained and uncluttered yet at the same time communicating warmth and comfort. I could not have come up with something like this on my own, and I think that's a pretty good definition of a truly professional job.

I'm a woman but my husband and I love all your masculine home videos. I'm in Philly so autumn is the best season everrrr. 2:26 Spot on... I find that during autumn everything is at majestically peak beauty just before it dies. It's the only season with a combination of all the colors I love. Woodland, earthy tones swirling with bold jewel tones.

Thank you! We get things from all over; big stores and independent stores. It's really about whoever has the piece we need for the design. Examples of bigger names that we sometimes use are Wayfair, West Elm, Amazon, RH, Bed Bath and Beyond, Safavieh. The list goes on and on.

Paint is relatively cheap and changeable. Client was wrong not to allow much darker wall color.

I would certainly classify it as more "modern industrial influenced" than strictly modern industrial. A lot of traditional influence in this design as well. Thank you!

@@ChaudryGhafoor Agree with influenced by the Industrial Era and furnishing we saw in the Revival period of architecture. Well done in setting the appropriate theme considering the owners design limitations. I'm sure many immediately considered changing the flooring until that was off the program.

@@RichardBarnett-hs1qy Lol, if we all did this we'd have no clients. Design is all about finding solutions and obstacles are just forks in the road for learning. The only obstacles worth avoiding are the financial ones.

@@michaelsd284 I can appreciate your point of view, and agree if one throws in the towel over every little bump in the road. Most designers cam meet challenges in a mutually satisfying way. (Even turning out for the better.) I would like to have seen Chaudry's solution, given more creative latitude. To my point however, there are clients one is better off without.

Febreze gives me migraines. Found out when I realized every time we'd use it when it came out on the market I would start feeling ill then came the migraine. When I was a kid, we used to simmer on the stove ginger or cinnamon sticks, sometimes with a star anise or a pinch of nutmeg or allspice. On budget days, it was simmering cinnamon apple potpourri which is always very cheap. It flows through the entire house within minutes.

Have you ever heard of the multi-mix design using art Deco pieces mixed with industrial style pieces with geometric shapes and cubist style art with modern furniture. Those styles are my total jam. I have picture files with how I see each room looking and surprisingly they all look really good and I don't even know how to decorate. LOL
