@@wingnut2245 they’re going with the flow of traffic coming from the south at Charlie to Delta, where I was. Traffic can split the stack at Delta, west puts Lone Pine, Alabama Hills and the Sierras in the background and east, this option, is a small canyon run with the mine in the background.

Awesome footage! Little fun fact about the stack hoods, back in the 40s and 50s when Big Boys were in regular revenue service, some of the components of the stack hood would get caked with soot and grime from the everyday work of the locomotives. As a result, the hood would either be partially stuck open or would not close completely

Friend of mine has a 1 inch to 12 inch scale replica of the Big Boy 4104. It is pretty badass and I have seen it run on air pressure. When he bought it came with the molds that the old man who made it used to create the castings. Shout out to Greg S if you see this.

Amazing footage! How difficult is it to get out to these locations in the sidewinder? and how busy is it normally?

Most areas are fairly easy to access but it’s the hikes that are the bummer. Anywhere from a half mile to a mile and a half with a 500 to 1200 foot elevation gain. Anywhere from six to 38 passes on a weekday

I have been fishing on the kern river for years at Fairview campground and have experienced many fighter jets. Where are you filming at?

A lot of the Kern River segments were taken above Calkins Flat but I go to another right above Fairview on the Packsaddle Trail

@@mykenry Nice, I have hiked the packsaddle cave several times early in the morning. I should have stayed up there longer to catch fighters flying by.
