Welsh League Sides in the FA Trophy. I feel a good way, for the English to help Welsh football, would be to invite a selection of, or all, of the Welsh Premier sides, into the non league, FA Trophy. The non league system in England has much depth, with decent sized teams, in the National League. Inviting Welsh teams in would help Welsh football and do no harm to English clubs. Let me reiterate I am dead against merging the British leagues as it great having our own national leagues. But England could help Celtic nations develop through cross border cups. In Scotland, the Irn Bru Cup has invited English non league, Welsh, and Northern and Republic of Ireland sides in. So Uefa has no problem with cross border cups. I support cross border cups in the UK, but on top of, keeping our independent football leagues, and European qualification. Bay and Wrexham both play in the English non league system and have a great time playing in cups. My idea would be to invite all Welsh Premier sides into the early rounds of the FA Trophy. Logistics - Travel would be no tougher, for English sides, than Gateshead playing Truro City. It would surely be no serious logistical, or administrative issue, to have 3 or 4 or a dozen Welsh Premier teams in the trophy. We would not have any passport, visa, or language issues. I really think it would spice up the English FA Trophy, and give some national pride to compete for, for Welsh and English sides. And would allow English non league sides to have a more cross border games, and would allow Welsh sides the opportunity to play by their standards big English sides. The teams in the English Conference are often full time, so this could attract more fans to Welsh teams to play them. Welsh teams would have the chance to play for a Wembley Final. Welsh teams could play high standard sides. It is too far, to expect lower division Scottish sides, or Irish sides to play in an FA Trophy. I did think of having an Anglo Welsh Cup, with Welsh Premier sides playing a group stage trophy against National League sides. I think the Welsh leagues needs to improve. The problem is that the biggest Welsh sides all play in the English League. And there is no way Cardiff or Swansea are going to swap 100 million pound tv contracts, to play in the Welsh Premier. But there are ways the various British Leagues could help each other, with cross border cups, while keeping their own leagues. Diolch.

I'm completely neutral but what makes me laugh in the comments is Celtic fans claiming this victory as the start of something great and this was a valid match until Rangers fans bring up the fact there's less than 8,000 in the ground and Rangers had huge attendance at their game, suddenly it becomes a meaningless friendly and everyone is on holiday or at work or something. Someone even wrote "The celts looking good as this stage of the season. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀" The season hasn't even started yet lol. Just make sure you're ready for the likes of Red Imps of Gibraltar when the season does really start and Rangers if you really are a big club how about lifting a trophy in the near future it can't be that difficult in league as dire as the SPL.
