One thing on my bucket list is to learn how to sew. I just bought a SINGER 6380. It may be different (we'll see when I pick it up) but I think this video was very helpful to give me a starting point of what I may be looking for. Though the pieces are small, your camera was focused well. The pace wasn't too fast or too slow. I appreciate you taking time out to do this. Thank you!

I haven't had the opportunity to sew any stretch fabric yet. Have you tried using stretch/knit needles and adjusting the tension?

Why do you not place backing under the batting so you are quilting thru all layers?

Mostly because I'm undecided on what backing I'm going to use 🙂 I have a lot of scrap fabric but not a lot of stuff that would work for a backing right now.

My machine doesn't have a foot pedal but one that is controlled by your knee. I'll take it into consideration for an upcoming video!

Hi Anna, I use universal needles for my machine. It came with a bobbin but you can search online for sewing machine parts and pick up bobbins for a Kenmore 117 sewing machine.
