I think the grip is called “dragon scale.” Not sure if this is 100% true, but better than “tree bark.” 🙂

If you could only have one.. This would probably be my pick. Well put together and they're are no MIM parts. Spending more money..i think you're losing for "art work"... Serrations style, RDS Mount... Different grips.. Band brand name... The ability to ask for certain options.. As with a Wilson

This is all the gun any of its realistically needs. 1911s from companies like a Wilson Combat.. Aren't making guns that much better.. They just offer occupying to make the gun tailored to our wants... What could any company do to drastically improve on the engineering of a191? Not like sweeping engines and suspensions in a sportscar.... Where the differences ARE night day What bugs me to this day about DW is their refusal to put their company DW logo on the funds and something in the right side of the slide. Like a Springfield's Armory 199, Cooler, Wilson...

I'm an AUG fan, I have to disagree with this guy saying "Steyr has done a great job of updating". All Steyr has done to this rifle in 40 years is add pic rails, they made a 300blk barrel, and soon they will be releasing a new version with a handguard. For 40 years I expect more.

does it cycle hollow points? a lot of 1911's have a problem with hollow points.

can someone please explain why mark 18 pistol is considered a pistol? looks the same as the mark 18 SBR and shoots the same rounds. i'm trying to figure out if i want the SBR (NFA restricted) or the pistol (not NFA restricted - no wait). thanks in advance!

Hi! WHAT CAN YOU SAY about plastic parts, such as a trigger mechanism, what is the resource of these parts? How many shots can it take? I'm also scared of the plastic in the shutter group. I bought an aug a2 almost a year ago, I made it up to 400 rounds. And I felt sorry for shooting aug. I want to sell and buy a Russian saiga 223 caliber

This is one gun I actually prefer the US made model. I had a German model and now have a US model. I could be wrong, but I think all the Tactical models are US made. The big thing for me is the grip texture. The more aggressive texture shared with the P30 feels so much better in the hand and keeps the gun in place. The texture shared with the VP9 is too slick especially for a gun this large. I guess you could wrap goon tape or skate tape on it too.
