144 he said that he had a 12.5 inch barrel if you measure from buffer tube to barrel(without flash hider) he would exceed 26 inches OAL. Now if you can’t do that then I would tac-weld a 10.5 inch upper that way it is permanently attached to the barrel of course you can change the brake into a longer on if you want to and weld it to make it longer. That’s what I’m probably gonna do and put an echo trigger and have my version of the military arms channel” NFA Nutkicker “.

The OAL of a AR-15 type weapon is measured from the end of the buffer tube (with the brace off) to the front of the threaded part of the barrel unless the muzzle device is permanently attached (pin and welded) then it can be included in the OAL measurement. This measurement must exceed 26” in order for a person to put a vertical fore grip on the rail.

Correct. However make sure you measure from the end of your buffer tube to the end of your muzzle device. When shooting standing, unsupported, light triggers become more and more important. I would never run a milspec trigger in an AR pistol. That includes the BCM PNT and the ALG ACT. If you want to hit quickly and accurately while standing, get something 3.5lbs or lighter. However, you have given me an idea for my 12.5 BCM AR pistol. I have a green MRO. It's horrible. Great vid man. How do you like the Trijicon so far?
@bluegunner47194 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to push out the trijicon too far yet. Hoping to find a good outdoor range after quarantine. But it seems solid for the short range stuff I’ve done so far!

I'm confused, that bcm mod 3 makes it an sbr doesn't it?
@clapzy29434 жыл бұрын
If the overall length is over 26" then you can use a forward grip. From buffer tube to end of barrel(not muzzle device) this is just at 26

Where can I find that Magpul angled grip I’ve been looking but can’t find it
@bluegunner47194 жыл бұрын
Thy Richie I actually misspoke. It’s a BCM mod 3 vertical grip. It is angled. I get it confused with magpul every time
@agudelo503 жыл бұрын
It is NOT an angled grip. It is classified and listed as a VERTICAL foregrip fyi
@TriggaTrey3613 жыл бұрын
@@agudelo50 yes but it’s not 90 degrees so it’s technically angled

What is the total cost on this bad boy?
@kaweka2604 жыл бұрын
ATF guideline defines a VFG as one being at 90 degree angle. The slant VFG made by BCM is not 90 degrees. Take that for what it’s worth.
@champy12104 жыл бұрын
"For your information, Federal law currently does not define 'vertical foregrip.' However[,] the ATF has determined that a grip of this type is distinguished by being both forward of the magazine well and oriented at a perpendicular (90[-]degree) angle to the bore of the weapon. The relative position of the grip around the weapon's bore would not change this determination." FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PEOPLE, DO NOT WRITE THE REDCOATS!!!

champy1210 Better to arm each other with info than live in darkness under the ATF. Even MrGunsnGear mentioned the same thing and also TRex Arms.
@Civiliansoldier7624 жыл бұрын
It’s a 12.5” build and doesn’t have a folding brace he can run whatever vfg he wants. It would be a “firearm” under atf guidelines. Like the above comment stated for the love of God people stop writing the ATF for “opinion” letters
@champy12104 жыл бұрын
David White Agreed. I saw both. People should not write the tyrants, though. Inquiries-if any-should through *competent* 2A-industry attorneys, like Adam Kraut, Josh Prince, et al.

If you ever need a BCM go with a Nickel Boron WMD ...... I got mine 2 years ago and it has over 40K rounds of 7.62x39......I shoot it 500 to 1,000 rounds every 2 weeks .....

No but you can put an AFG

@@Sauce8451 in the video he has a VFG, I'm guessing the pistol has a OAL over 26", which is ok...I think

I really wanted to move to a 12.5” but I could not justify the cost when I have a perfectly good running BCM 11.5”...
@bluegunner47194 жыл бұрын
Totally understandable. Wallet comes first!
@mikebrockway60994 жыл бұрын
12.5” will likely make oal >26”. Too long for a pistol if planning for CC where I live.

@James_Edward594 жыл бұрын
It’s literally a super great but basic setup, there’s not much going on at all. One optic, some offset backup irons and a light, that’s not much at all. If this is a lot going on, you’d be amazed how much stuff you have to put on a rifle when you are running Night Vision.

If OAL is 26 inches or greater and barrel is under 16 inches with no stock its not a pistol, its just a firearm
