Every three months I update my networth statement. Since it is the first of the year, I just updated my data for this new year. I am so grateful for the time you took to make this video and help us track our networth. Thank you again for your help MrGTMan002

When I have the system primed and with the pressure tank to 50PSI I'll come back a couple hours later to a day and it seems the water has fallen back down the well. I will run the pump and the residual water after the check valve to the pump will flow but then it will take 5 minutes to draw the water back up and get prime. Is this normal? Or should there be constant draw/suction on the water even on the backside of the check valve kind of like holding a straw with water in it. I assume if it holds this pressure after a day or so that the check valve is good. I have bad flow rate as well. I will need to put a T instead of an elbow on the main pipe before the check valve and test for flow like you show. What is proper flow rate 5GPM? Thanks for the help.
@MrGTMan002
@MrGTMan002 2 ай бұрын
When you restart the pump after a day, is there air coming out of your spigot? If so, I'd say you have an air leak on the suction side of the check valve. If not, then probably just a check valve that is bypassing. A bypassing check valve will lose pressure when the pump is sitting off, then take a minute to build up pressure again when you restart it, or when it restarts with the pressure switch. There is a lot to consider for the question of what is the proper flow rate? The pump shown in the video produces around 5gpm.

I love the video. Any suggestion about how to add another line which tracks the increase in net worth? Right now I just do the calculation and input the number myself. Thank you
@MrGTMan002
@MrGTMan002 7 ай бұрын
I actually have added that feature on my own Google Sheets. What I did was select the cell right below the net worth (Row 46). Start a formula by typing "=", then arrow up one cell to the current month's net worth value, then type "-" and then arrow up and left one cell to select the prior month's net worth. Press Enter. This calculates the difference this month compared to last month.

Hi, very inspiring for my own project. I don't know where you live but is it a region with frost and lots of rain? Was the oven affected? Some say vermiculite is more sensitive to moisture than perlite.. What is the overall state of the inside shell after some years of use and standing the weather now?

It is a region with rain and freezing. Ontario. It has been about 3-4 years... and it is not doing very well. I'm going to attempt some crack repairs this summer / fall. I think it would benefit from a small roof to keep the water off the dome. Seems to seep into all the cracks / joints and freeze.

I have a 2004 Four Winns Horizon 190, and I just replaced my original Faria gauges with new Farias. I've reconnected all of the wires, but there is a tan/blue wire with a a red, round potted component about the size of a quarter on it, and that wire appears to be the audible engine alarm wire, and I don't know where it is supposed to be connected to at the gauges. Can you help me?

Sorry I don't know the wiring schematic for your specific gauges. Did they come with a diagram? If not, I would contact the manufacturer if a google search doesn't turn up the info you need.

Thank you thank you thank you for this video. I could not figure out why I couldnt get my pump to prime, and you finally explained it to me. Got my well back up and running after some upgrades that ended up changing the location of the check valve (might have to put it back where it was) and the vertical relationship of the pump to the faucet outside, which ended up making it harder to prime.

Quest i already have 2 buzzers 1 for each inboard. I want to wire a warning 12v led to the 2 terminal buzzer. It has 12v across both term. key off when turned on buzzer sound and oil pressure switch activates the buzzer until started then turn to ground on 1 term.. I wired the light between the 2 term and works great. Should i use a diode or inline fuse for 1 side of the 2 term buzzer? These are tiny leds.

Nice job. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that has to listen to when the water finally starts to pull through the pump. Sometimes it helps to pour water while it is running, but be ready for water to burst out. 50 PSI is pretty high,, but mine is just for a camp so about 22.

If you put the check valve down in the well like 5 ft. and the tee up at the top, then you just fill the tee and use it as a bleeder. When it is full just screw in the plug in the tee and it will prime itso facto. ( fast )
