I can not tell you how much this video just helped me navigate the 4.3 Penta in my 2000 Regal 1800. Thanks for making it!

Great video i think i am going to add 4 more sensors to my twin old school 260`s. Being it`s all a series circuit anyway.

Quest i already have 2 buzzers 1 for each inboard. I want to wire a warning 12v led to the 2 terminal buzzer. It has 12v across both term. key off when turned on buzzer sound and oil pressure switch activates the buzzer until started then turn to ground on 1 term.. I wired the light between the 2 term and works great. Should i use a diode or inline fuse for 1 side of the 2 term buzzer? These are tiny leds.

I don't think it is necessary to add a diode. LED is Light Emitting Diode. It already has one.

I have this same engine in my 2006 Stingray 195ls. Last weekend my temp gauge is sitting all the way maxed out even with the boat off. Does that sound more like a faulty gauge to you?
@MrGTMan002 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like a guage problem to me. What happens if you unplug the temp sensor?
@BLkamaji Жыл бұрын
@@MrGTMan002 it stayed maxed. Even after I took it out of the panel. I replaced it and the issue was resolved.

I have a 2004 Four Winns Horizon 190, and I just replaced my original Faria gauges with new Farias. I've reconnected all of the wires, but there is a tan/blue wire with a a red, round potted component about the size of a quarter on it, and that wire appears to be the audible engine alarm wire, and I don't know where it is supposed to be connected to at the gauges. Can you help me?
@MrGTMan0029 ай бұрын
Sorry I don't know the wiring schematic for your specific gauges. Did they come with a diagram? If not, I would contact the manufacturer if a google search doesn't turn up the info you need.

Man just a question i got a mercruiser 4.3 mpi where can i get the schematics?
@MrGTMan0029 ай бұрын
I do not have schematics for a merc 4.3 mpi. I used google to find schematics. Use a google search and press the images button. I think you will find them. If that fails, then search for the appropriate service manual.

I currently have same problem, boat was sitting down for 2yrs, should I change all sensor? Is the exhaust sensor same as the thermostat sensor?
@MrGTMan0022 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure the sensors are not all the same. You can look them up for part numbers and Google them. I would recommend trying to diagnose which sensor is the issue, starting with the thermostat housing one.

Can you tell me the Amazon #, I try the number on the box but didn’t help
@MrGTMan0029 ай бұрын
Sierra International TS25101 200 Degree Trip Marine Temperature Switch. If you search for that at Amazon, the sensor that I bought comes up.
