The best product I have ever used for scratch removal. Great for all finish types on guitars, violins and other music instruments. Even works wonders on nitro-cellulose lacquer on Gibson finishing.

I've had many nice guitars over the years. I also have a First Act that a buddy had in his garage left over from when his kids were little. Tiny zink block. Thin stamped saddles. I put some ibanez humbucker pickups in it that I had laying around. Adjusted right up by the strings. That "cheap" First Act is by far the best sustaining guitar I have owned in 30 years of playing.

Did you say brass is a very hard material? Uhhhh no. Brass is a very soft material. It's one of the easiest to machine.

Best way to increase sustain. Play a set neck guitar, bolt ons will never match set necks for sustain

My Stratocaster was Made in Japan in 1984 and I 'm not sure where I would find the correct saddles for it. The present saddles actually have some rust on them. They are 40 yrs old after all...

I wish they sold screw-on white plastic buttons like what you find on vintage Fender Mustangs. You can buy a set of those old school “f” stamped tuners, but then you have to replace the whole set of tuners, rather than just the tuning buttons. It blows my mind that there aren’t a ton of aftermarket tuning buttons available for sale. They have a ton of volume/tone knobs for sale. Weird stuff.

Why the clean sound for Aerosmith? Master should be full-on; volume should be up to the point it suits the room. Got some grit!

Bone is only about twice as dense as the plastic that are used to make a nut. If you really are looking for sustain and brighter tone install a zero fret. A stainless steel fret is about twenty times denser than bone. I have installed zero frets on all my guitars and I will never go back.

Just exactly how much vibrating does the string do in the trem block or at the tuner? You know, beyond both terminuses. Definitely not a physicist overseeing this operation.

Thanks. I just acquired a used mim stratocaster from CL for a great price. I found out that the guy had tapped the block for a non fender tremolo arm ( unsuccessfully I might add). So I need a new block and the correct arm. The whole MIM assembly is the best thing. I'm considering the gotoh/ wilkenson.

Very good product in my opinion. But hard to obtain in UK. The best method I have found is to REALLY work this stuff in, and keep applying it as it begins to dry out, which it will as you work it. I will be using a British product in future, as the postage makes it prohibitively expensive.

Three things I don't worry about is nut ,whammy bar,nor the neck radious. I did however use brass string pins on my besting acoustic guitar. If you put a capo above the nut for muting my classical guitar for playing straight acoustic.

Replacing power amp tubes without biasing the old ones first to see if biasing has drifted, is a waste. But putting in new ones without biasing them is insanity

Removing the paint in that area would do the exact opposite. You're removing a hard surface and replacing it with a softer surface that will absorb the sound. The vibration you're trying to reflect is coming from the strings and bridge, not the from the wood. So the vibrations are going the opposite direction from the theory. Is my explanation understandable? Most of these theories have been debunked. Here's a great place to start if you're looking for sustain: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6a5q6qYoLqIpK8

I know this is an old video, but now you can get solid steel tremolo blocks that have the shallower depth requirements of the Squier guitars, so they can be a great drop in replacement, without worrying about it sticking out of the back. This is an upgrade I plan on making to my Squier.

I think sanding it is more that you create a hard surface for the sound to escape. the paint acts as a sound deadner.. It would be interesting to experiment with

I was surprised it worked for me. Not overly happy about the price, but it did do the job. I used about a dime size drop for smaller scratches more than ample, and just to polish the guitar in general about a quarter sized amount for the back and the same for the front. The final result was very impressive. There is plenty in each tube, I could do several guitars easily. You don't need to drown your guitar with it.

Simple explanation and absolutely no bullshit talk ❤ I'd like to mention that there are always/ most of the times are (I don't know the word in english) strummings where you lightly tap the notes but not fret them. In tabulature it would be XXX. But for beginners really good. Lou Reed in his later career used what you call the easy Version

very useful. However needs to consider also the depth of the tremolo block because the thickness of the body may vary. Affinity Squier for istance should have body thickness of 38mm while the ClassicVibe should be 44mm

I have multiple Amps and stacks, by far this little guy is my favorite!! Just yesterday the exact tube you took out first looks like fireworks 💥 when I turn it on. Makes a crazy loud hum/buzz. I flip the switch in and off RIGHT AWAY! So now I’m going through my other amps I don’t use hopefully to find a tube to fit 🤷‍♂️ I live in a rual area and it’s 2hrs either way to get to a guitar center. Great amp! Love it dearly 🤘
