My uni class is having a hard time actually implementing these measurements, for some reason when we put in the height all the other measurements are greyed out and un-editable. Any idea what's going on here?

Hi there, the measurements get greyed out when you set the height because it picks the default values based on the height but everything is still editable ( although constrained ). We do recommend often just going with the default measurements based on the height though. Custom measurements are optimal, but they are also a bit tricky to get right, and can skew the data pretty easily if there is a mistake. So maybe start by just height and then look to see if the data looks good before changing more

Was looking for a simple video that shows off the Rokoko and this is perfect! i wonder how well does it work for recording stuff in a larger space? Like a cutscene where a character walks across a room back and forth, or recording walk/jog/run cycles in a larger area

The camera needs to be further back and centered to conform with metahuman guidelines. This is way to close to the face. You need to add a way to adjust the metal bars to account for this.

you can get optical for 2 people the same price as one pro xsens suit. optical is the best i would never go back. the only down is you need a space

Something about Rokoko mocap that you guys never seem to address...or maybe you have and I've never seen it. But the thumbs are always pointing outward in an awkward, non-natural position in EVERY Rokoko mocap transfer I see. Is that something that's ever going to be fixed?

I noticed that you didn't mention that the thumbs are rotated outward for the entire animation. I got the same result. How can that be fixed so that the thumbs are correct, so I don't have to go into a motion layer to fix it?

Can you cover how to livestream from Rokoko to UE 5.4? I’ve been trying to follow along with the tutorials but I find them confusing. I bought the Indie bundle and I really want to use streaming but I can’t get it working. It’s very frustrating and I can’t figure out what I’m missing

Great tutorial! What's your approach when you have to constraint HIK effectors to something in the scene for example if a character is holding a trumpet where both the hands are constraint to the trumpet (probably the trumpet is constraint to head)?

Hi Sam! I’m having a strange issue with my mocap and I was hoping you or someone in the comments could help me out. In Rokoko studio the animation looks good, but when importing into UE5, the root bone is all wonky, causing my animation to flip forward and "fall" on its face. If I had to guess, it has something to do with the forward axis being different but I don’t remember setting this anywhere. Older mocap takes were all fine and dandy, but only recently has it begun to do this when I import new/old mocap takes to UE5. Animation blending causes the character to dip into the floor as well, this happens with and without using root motion. I could really use your help!

@@raymondsvejd6274 The newest update for Rokoko Studio has solved the issue for me. You’ll need to export from Rokoko studio with the Unreal Engine 5 mannequin (4 might work too, haven’t tried) and import in Unreal as you normally would. You will see that the animation asset in UE5 has the proper axis. TL;DR Update Rokoko Studio and try again.

Can you make a tutorial for arms not clipping through the arms. And also how to fix issues like hand placement over hips if the character anatomy is not exactly like that of the mocap example. What I mean by this is I have a character that is more plus-size and have wider hips so her arms actually clip through her hips to upper legs. If you have a video that could help let me know :) nice vid

in rokoko u can change the actors dimensions to match urself so that might help but with mocap theres always gonna have some sort of clipping especially on low budget suits like mocopi, personally i just clean the animations in blender afterwards to edit all the clipping or based on the character i use i know that i have to tweak how i do the animations so that i don’t have to clean it up later
