Any good workarounds in adjusting animations in c4d? I it always ends up being such a mess. U have cascadeur for example, but it seems overly complicated as well. Would be cool if there was soothing that's easy for adjusting animations through keyframing and overlaping in the timeline.

QUESTION: Can you enter 2 different animations. One for the Breakdown category and the other for one without the breakdown?
@thejabberwock385410 ай бұрын
This is Sam from Rokoko - you cannot :( It has to be a breakdown of the render from the main render entry.

oh wow. now i just learned that i need to find a mocap data? Why in the world i didn't read that until now. DUde i watched that stupid page for like 2 days and i was like. Im out. I wished i would be able to join but i never found this video. Probably it was me. Or probably you need to be more consistent when it comes to sharing your imagination and where? do it everywhere put a damn link with all the details we need an resources. THis is on you. I have lost the nr 1 because of you sir! You will be paying for this at the next challenge.

Maybe I'm a tiny bit used to Pwnishers contests but is there a templates we are using to connect all these submissions together? If not are we animating only whats on the TV or an entire scene with a TV in it? Or is it totally open ended?
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
The only template is the resolution and FPS - the render should be what is playing on the TV, and then we're going basically flip through all the "channels" (renders) in the giant montage. Hope that helps, we'll add something clarifying that on the site!
@scobelverse11 ай бұрын
@@RokokoMotion awesome! I think that’s a really good idea. Even maybe a green screen on the TV as a template so we can see how it looks in the final format. I think a lot of people will get confused on this. Thanks for putting this together!

Can you use copyright free models to target the mocap to?

Definitely!

Hi and thanks for the good explanation. I had the thought that the deadline was 29/12, now i am revealed that it is for 29/1. I have a question about the submission length. Can it be around 20 sec, rather than 7 sec. Because the footage i am working on needs more time than 7 seconds. Will my submission be accepted if i do so?
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
Hi Damien! No, unfortunately the cap for the Main Render submission is 7 seconds @ 24fps - creativity loves constraints! The process breakdown can be up to 20 seconds - but it needs to be breaking down your main, 7 second submission. Hope that helps!

Two questions: 1. Can you combine mocap animations? For instance, a character starts with a Rokoko animation but transitions into a Mixamo animation then back into a Rokoko animation? 2. Are we allowed to tweak the mocap animation or does it have to be raw mocap data? Looking forward to the contest!
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
1: For your hero (main focus) animation, I would say no - that should be entirely Rokoko animations. Anything that is contributing in a way that they render would not work at all without it should be Rokoko. 2. 100% - I would encourage you to tweak it, especially if you are using Rokoko Vision which is more limited in terms of what you can produce. For example, you could use a smoothing filter like Butterworth in Maya and it would still be totally viable even though it's touching every keyframe of the animation in some way. Hope that helps!

@@RokokoMotionSome of Rokoko free mocap animations like the walk cycles have "MIXAMO" in the file name? I can still use those?
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
@@friedcheesemacaroniball3689 You can! That just refers to the type of skeleton they were exported from Rokoko Studio with - sometimes they will say "HumanIK" or something if that skeleton was used. Hope that helps!

For each category, what’s the maximum number of entries I can submit?
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
One :) But you can submit to both Best Render, Best Breakdown, and you'll be automatically submitted to the Community Favorites and Raffle as well

Is the Breakdown also 4:3 aspect ratio?
@KingdomOfHeavenPictures10 ай бұрын
I did it 4:3 anyway.

Hey Sam can I use Character Assets from other creators?

Also can we use copyrighted characters like Link from Zelda or Deadpool?
@KyleHammond111 ай бұрын
what exactly is meant by “extensive use of music” what qualifies as extensive?
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
Hey Kyle! You can use music, just make sure it's copyright free - this rule is mainly in because we find a lot of people submit with copyrighted songs. If we have any doubt that it is copyrighted, we'll have to strip the music out. Hope that helps!

Sadly, there is currently a bug in Rokoko Studio which results in rotated legs when exporting animations to Unreal Engine. Hopefully this will be fixed in time.
@RokokoMotion11 ай бұрын
Bizarre! I'm so sorry you're having that issue - is that for all animations or just certain ones? I've not seen that when I'm exporting with the UE4 skeleton preset, but perhaps it is messing up certain animations - I could imagine that happening when squatting or crouching, perhaps. You can also reach out to support@rokoko.com if you continue to see it happening - hope that helps!

@@RokokoMotion it happens for normal walk animations, as can be seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWLVZneGhMd9pZI dev team knows about it and will fix it with the next release of Rokoko Studio. Just hoping that will release anytime soon :)
