It wouldn't be a problem because English is one of our official languages. We have two official languages, Filipino and English.

The reason why the subjects in the Philippines are taught in English is because when the Americans took over the country after Spain, they established the Philippine educational system so that Filipinos will be able to have access to education. During the Spanish colonial period, only the rich and mostly the men are allowed to go to schools or universities and as far as I know, subjects during this era were taught in Spanish. The second class and the poor and the women were not given a chance to go to school. Since the Americans were the ones who are teaching the population during their time in the islands, and with the differences in regional languages, it was better to teach the students directly into English, rather than to translate the subjects to the different languages. (In my opinion, there was an expectation that eventually the Philippines will be a part of the US during this time. This was just a preparation.) Even Standard Filipino only emerged during President Quezon's time and only a few number of subjects like Araling Panlipunan and Filipino (Grammar and literature) are taught in Standard Filipino, usually Tagalog.

The Filipinos have an identity crisis, their names are in English and pronounce as in English, most have Hispanic last names, but at the same time they look Asian. I have live in the Philippines for a year and a half, im married to a Filipina. It is a lie to say Tagalog is the lingua franca, just on my wife's family most of them don't speak Tagalog. My co eorkers neither they would even prefer to speak English than Tagalog, the use of their regional language is the rule and almost everything is written in English. My wife will definitely have a hard time when we move to Mexico.

Yes correct ini. Indonesia has its own translation. Philippines is very reliable on english so much they almost don't use tagalog as language for mathematics or science especially on physics.

"The problem of the Filipinos, our dream is to work in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, or Korea. Not in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand." Ilang taon na itong si "kuya"? Maraming gusto mag-work sa Japan o Korea. Pero sa Anglo World? (especially sa America, yung palaging Race War?) Sobrang tanda na ata ni lolo. 😂

She is actually both correct and wrong, she’s correct that kapampangan is a language but she’s also made a mistake by saying bisaya/cebuano a dialect, it is in fact also considered a language. There are areound 170 languages in the Philippines, variations of these languages are then what you call dialects.
