You just add long tubes? You did not specify what cat-back you are running with or did you just keep the stock active exhaust?They way your describing sounds like a Valvetronic cat-back? I just custom ordered my 2025 GT…. Scouring KZbin for the best exhaust notes.

Honestly, it was all about timing. I purchased my 2020 Mustang GT and purchased headers, an intake, and an X-pipe during the first week of ownership. Right after that, I got a notification that Andrew from Mustang Lifestyle posted this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJ7JhZuPpcp8iK8. It was exactly what I was looking for-him tuning his buddy's S550 3rd-gen Coyote, which is similar to my car. With full bolt-ons on E85, they were making 500 WHP effortlessly. I then looked into Andrew, and I found out he’s done numerous tunes for Mustangs, including a lot of S550s-both NA and boosted. It just felt like the right fit, so I decided to go with him. I have no complaints so far. The customer service is great, and the tunes are excellent. Whenever I add new mods, I send over data logs, and he gets back to me with revisions pretty quickly. I definitely could of went with a more well known bigger tuner but with the timing of him posting that video it seemed like it was meant to be. It was a risk but he is a good tuner and my cars been running great!

Heck yeah man! Nice to see more of these ‘18+ mt82 cars getting some attention. You will be blown away when you get the E85 tune on there, it’s unreal how much it wakes these gen 3 coyotes up. Before you spend money on a shifter or anything else get a vengeance clutch installed, it completely changes the mt82 transmissions (I did eventually do a Barton shifter as well), no more lockout above 7k rpm, no missed shifts, no grinding; was the best thing I did to my car aside from the Lund E85 tune. Before the clutch I actually broke a transmission trying to shift above 7k because the stock pressure plate just can’t fully release at those really high RPMs, after the clutch she’s golden all the way to 8k rpms 👍

I got a base 22 with the two tone black gloss and silver wheels. I really like the 5 spokes you got but I have been eyeball shopping a lot. I'm kinda debating something ricey like te 37s or the the black out package 5 spokes too. You gonna be drag racing or autocrossing or you just going for a fast daily?

I think I’m gonna put eh black cocos until my other wheels come in. Just need to get tires that’ll fit. Also nothing wrong with te’s on a stang. They look good on most cars and you really can’t go wrong! My cars mostly gonna be a fun street car!

Thanks for this, I'm in the same boat. I've owned my 06 STi for 16 years and am ready for something new. I'll be keeping the STi for life, so I'm wondering if a BRZ would be enough.. I think I'm ready for a V8. I'm just wondering if it would be too much for the street. The BRZ is so much lighter, so it doesn't really need a ton of power to feel quick for the street, plus the great handling etc.. but I love everything about modern Mustangs, aside from the MT82 and maybe the weight but meh.

I know Long tubes are what people want and they love the sound of them. But I always advise against them.. The Stock header's are fine if you pull the cats you get the same increase.. But to each his own.. I get it to if you live in a state where you can get that off more power to you.. Plus I know there's a sound longtubes make that PPL love.. Anyway nice video and nice car..

Hey sorry I would tell you if I knew! I traded my stock BRZ headlights for those blacked out FRS taillights with the demon eyes and halos. Not sure what brand it was.

Just dont do full cat delete and run xpipe. Imo the worst sounding v8 possible once guys do that... they think the louder the faster which these days isnt the case. A good resignator doesnt go a stray on all v8s. Drone and raspys = very nasty

I agree. This is my final exhaust setup for my car being N/A. Right now I have the ford performance exhaust with an X-pipe with the stainless works long tubes that have high flow cats. Zero rasp and it’s not obviously loud all the time. Sounds so good. On my previous first gen S550 GT I had Corsa Xtemes with long tubes and it was way to raspy and too loud it didn’t sound good. Once I went boosted I swapped the Corsa for a more tame catback and paired it with the headers and it sounded really good. Kind of going that same route now but may change once I install my whipple.

The one I got was the headers and connector pipes bolt directly on to the stock 2.5" exhaust system.

I wish I had all this money for all these mods. What did you say again to do to add torque? I’ve had my BRZ 2013 for about 2 weeks now. I love it actually. It’s fun to drive. Short shift changes but no worries. How do you get rid of that beep red right shift change noise?? Annoying and why does it do it in 6th gear. Like I can switch to another.

Per your title "Best Time To Buy a S550", I hope so, I just bought one in Dec/2023 (2019 base model stick shift, kona blue). I only wish I had bought a model with Premium & exhaust. I plan on aftermarketing those options now which wont be as good as the factory versions. Advice to others, if salesman offers you the keys for a test drive, run away, once you drive one you will buy one.
