Why I Choose The Mustang GT Over The WRX STI Or New BRZ?

The S550 GTs are super nice, I drove a 2023 gt premium and I absolutely love the platform and drive train though I wish it had a termec instead of a mt82, but even still amazing cars and a ton of value for the money. I am a wrx guy and my buddies gt totally turned me back to muscle cars again. Sorry for your loss, glad you were able to hold onto that mustang passion together

Mustang is a great investment. My s550 gen 3 still makes me smile everytime I start it up. Nothing a 4cyl can give you compared to a v8. Enjoy the last of them

I agree. Definitely is a great overall car and a huge reason why I went with it! Nothing beats a high displacement engine!

I would say the v8 is overkill most of the time and always has the weight full time. The BRZ is fun as hell to corner and drive. That being said I’ll probably grab a s550 V6 and meet in between. Ecoboost felt good!

Thanks for this, I'm in the same boat. I've owned my 06 STi for 16 years and am ready for something new. I'll be keeping the STi for life, so I'm wondering if a BRZ would be enough.. I think I'm ready for a V8. I'm just wondering if it would be too much for the street. The BRZ is so much lighter, so it doesn't really need a ton of power to feel quick for the street, plus the great handling etc.. but I love everything about modern Mustangs, aside from the MT82 and maybe the weight but meh.

Unless it was semi-built STI, no question mustang GT wouldn’t even look at the new BRZ that car should have the same engine as the STI

Nah, the FA24 is a good starting platform to mod, it's perfect for the weight of that car. It does well with boosting it later on, if that's what you want.. having a turbo/STi engine from the factory would have brought the price point up way higher than it should be. There's a reason it's rated one of the best drivers cars you can buy, if not _the_ best under $100k.

if you ceramic coated that car and didnt polish it your dead wrong, with that lighting and white paint it looks perfect but its prob far from it, the ceramic isnt going to stick too your car properly.

The paint definitely needed work before any ceramic coating. I didn't doit yet but I have a full paint correction scheduled on Wednesday.
