Hi Jeff. Great video. We’re looking into visiting NZ next March. Could you tell me approx per person how much your South Island trip cost inc car rental? And was it easy to drive to the different places? It may help our decision to go against an escorted tour. Thanks

Yes, I did reserve these campsites. I recommend securing your camp spots as soon as possible, availability is quite limited during the month of August

Do you know how long it takes the shuttles to make their way from the west alpgar entrance to the Logan pass?
@Jeff_Hyer
@Jeff_Hyer 4 күн бұрын
It can take up to 90 minutes. The single-lane traffic can be slow-moving and the incline is steep, resulting in reduced traffic speed. There's also a few shuttle stops along the way, but not many.

1) so they plow Mon-Thurs so does that mean you can ride at any hour Fri, Sat & Sun? 2) if I need to leave my RV at Apgar and ride my ebike to Avalanche how long would you guess for extra time and will the road be busy at 8 am already?

I’m happy to help in your safari planning. If interested, I have a video linked here where I share safari insights on Kenya specifically. Most of it was filmed on my Sony camera, so it should show in higher quality. You can find the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5DKaYmLn919eacsi=qZzii5c_pPelU9nx

Unfortunately i just cant bring myself to visit Africa with all the travel warnings. I cant see the even small risk worth it seeing as i would have my children with me. I have a quote from Gorilla o clock for Gorilla tour in Uganda but it seems just a bit to risky. Rwanda is said to be safe but your very close to active terrorists. Such a pity

The choice to travel is 100% yours. I personally have not felt unsafe once on any of my trips to Uganda or Rwanda. There was ample security and I felt very comfortable when experiencing both.
