And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives Where we're gonna be when we turn 25 I keep thinking times will never change Keep on thinking things will always be the same (Same) But when we leave this year, we won't be coming back No more hanging out 'cause we're on a different track And if you got something that you need to say You better say it right now 'Cause you don't have another day 'Cause we're moving on, and we can't slow down These memories are playing like a film without sound And I keep thinking of that night in June I didn't know much of love, but it came too soon (Too soon) And there was me and you, and then it got real blue Stay at home talkin' on the telephone And we would get so excited, and we'd get so scared Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair And this is how it feels As we go on, we remember All the times we had together And as our lives change, come whatever We will still be friends forever So if we get the big jobs, and we make the big money When we look back now, will that joke still be funny? Will we still remember everything we learned in school? Still be trying to break every single rule Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man? Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan? I keep, keep thinking that it's not goodbye Keep on thinking it's a time to fly (Ooh ooh ooh) And this is how it feels As we go on, we remember All the times we had together And as our lives change, come whatever We will still be friends forever La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la Yeah, yeah, yeah La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la (We will still be friends forever) Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now? Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow? I guess I thought that this would never end And suddenly it's like we're women and men Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round? Will these memories fade when I leave this town? I keep, keep thinking that it's not goodbye (It's not goodbye) Keep on thinking it's a time to fly As we go on, we remember (We remember) All the times we had together And as our lives change, come whatever (Come whatever) We will still be friends forever (Always)

Slightly disagree. I just recently upgraded form 3.0x to 5.5x. Some problems i had was if i move my neck just a little bit, i would lose the focus and field of view. even some blinking would affect the focus probably because the depth of field is so narrow. i could see my dark spots on my left eyes which bugged me a lot, and then I reazlied it is probably my eyelashes getting in the way of the field of view (maybe my eyelashes are in the way of my vision and it is more noticeable when i use the higher magnification. Or it is just my mild astigmatism). 5.5x definitely gives a better look and vision to the tooth i am working, therefore i knew how much more i needed to remove or how to polish better. however, experience wise was not pleasing. Also i started to realize many loupes are still factory manufactured therefore it is not 100% personalized. When i had my 5.5x, the working distance was very short and the rep told me that it is set to 44cm while my actually WD is 48cm. because the depth of field is so narrow with 5.5x, I had to change my seating in a very specific way to see well, and it was more uncomfortable to use 5.5x loupes overall. I am thinking to change it to 3.5x or 4.5x at this point. disclaimer: i could see the higher magnification could be better for the endo

A big problem is that people do not even know that the microscope is an option, it is simply relegated to endo. Meanwhile there is plenty of research to show that it is actually the gold standard for quality of work that can be performed restoratively as well.

Been in dentistry for 30 years and would not allow pts to look at phones during procedures. Its not only distracting its dangerous. They can knock your hand when you're working.

Master plumbers and master electricians are actually taking home more money than an a general dentist or veterinarian AFTER taking into consideration the lost opportunity costs and student loan debts… something is totally wrong with this picture. The costs of the education needs to reflect real world take home pay. If this were the case, the costs of these professional schools would be 1/4 the cost.

One problem i encounter when using otr on a endo block: canal hits torque limit, starts reciprovating but still manages to screw into the canal until it can‘t move anymore and stops moving all together. I have to manually switch to ccw to get it out. Do you know what may cause this problem?

Living as a dentist means living broke for multiple years while you pay off debt With the only thing driving you forward being the pearly white smiles of your patients "Dentist lifestyle" If you wanted money go into engineering or business

Finance pays very well… they don’t go into $300,000 of debt either…. This entire obsession with some of these professions don’t make any financial/math sense. At this rate, in 2-3 generations people will literally laugh.

@Timmy Tran Laundry list 1. CRUSHING,…debt 2. Somehow it’s socially acceptable to tell the dentist you “hate him” but,…”no offense”. 🙄 3. Patients are less and less appreciative. 4. Stress of doing quality work 5. Stress of doing quality work and it may still fail. And when it does fail, patients will tell you “you did it wrong”. 6. Competition 7. Did I mention CRUSHING debt? Let’s mention it again. 8. Can’t write off interest on your dental debt. 9. All the time/money you lose being in school. 10. Having to be the top of your class just to “possibly” be admitted into a good school. 11. Did I mention CRUSHING debt? 12. Patients expect you to be a counselor on top of doing quality work. 13. Battling insurances that cover nothing and deny your work was even necessary. 14. Putting up with staff drama and staff turnover. It’s the #1 suicide profession for a reason. You ask an old (like 50’s and older dentist) if it’s worth it, a lot will say “yes”, but that’s because they paid almost nothing for school and insurance paid a lot more. They lived in the golden age. It’s gone now. Gone. Oh, and I almost forgot. SOUL-CRUSHING debt. 😀👍

@Timmy Tran These are things i wish someone told me before I got into school. The only entity that benefits are the dental schools. The dentist and patients now all have to suffer. People need to stop applying and paying these ridiculous fees. It’s the only solution.

Remember... if you get rejected from college, medical school, law school, PhD programs... you are a certified loser. Your rejection letter is your certification. The world needs cashiers, food service employees, housekeepers, cleaners, janitorial staff and that's where you belong.

What about x6 magnification , do you think it's worth losing the depth of field at this point. I'm torn between x5 or x6 for general dentistry and specifically broken files retrieval and bypassing.
@rh_BOSS2 жыл бұрын
I feel like 4.5-5.0x is the sweet spot. You're definitely getting into the diminishing returns territory with higher magnifications. I wanted to go 6x after my old 5x loupes died, but when I've actually tried them, I found that in actuality a rather unimpressive improvement in magnification comes with more than 50% penalty in depth of field. I definitely could've gotten used to that(I almost did within a couple of minutes during the try-out), but ultimately decided against it. Yes, that extra level of detail might make a difference once in a blue moon, but the DoF penalty will be there every time you or your patient move your head.
