I apologize in advance for the long and detailed post, but I wanted to share my experience. I’ve been watching your videos almost every day for the past week to prepare for my Singapore Airlines (SIA) interview, which took place this morning. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t make it through.) I wanted to share my experience in detail because I noticed very few people do so, and hopefully, this will help others get a clearer idea of what to expect. My call time was 9:00 AM, but I arrived at 7:45 AM, expecting a crowd like at a walk-in interview. In hindsight, this wasn’t necessary as they started calling people up around 8:40 AM. The process began with filling out a form with basic details like your name and when you’re available to join. After that, they checked height and arm reach-but not weight (I was a bit concerned about a weight check since I’m overweight, but I had already mentioned that in my application). Once you clear this, they give you a stamp on the form and a sticker with your candidate number to place on your chest. Next, you go through registration-make sure to have your passport handy, as they’ll ask for your passport number. After registration, you wait to be called in groups of six. The first task is to introduce yourself, which should take no longer than one minute. This is followed by a group discussion round. Our topic was “Money is the root of all evil.” The discussion lasted around five minutes, with three people arguing for and three against. The format was simple: the person on the extreme left starts, followed by the person on the extreme right, and then it alternates back and forth, giving each person a chance to present one point. Afterward, we were asked to wait outside. Another staff member came out and read the numbers of those who passed. Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of them. They don’t tell you right away if you haven’t made it; they continue calling out random numbers, which can be a bit confusing. Eventually, I was called with a few other candidates and informed that we hadn’t been selected. They don’t provide any specific feedback, which can be a bit frustrating. For example, some people who didn’t seem very strong in speaking made it through, while one girl in my group, who spoke extremely well, didn’t. I also heard that having clear skin is important, yet a girl with noticeable acne was selected. (I don’t mean this disrespectfully at all-just trying to make sense of the selection process.) Before leaving, I spoke with a girl who had been selected for the next round. She mentioned that the next stage involves an English assessment, with one side being basic grammar and the other a comprehension exercise. Overall, despite not making it through, I found the experience pleasant. Everything was well-organized, and the interviewers were neither rude nor intimidating. The other candidates were really sweet, and I’m genuinely rooting for them to succeed! Thank you, Nidhi, for your incredibly informative videos-they really helped! Several girls there mentioned they also watched your videos to prepare, and it honestly made the whole process feel more manageable. In a way, it does put you more at ease.
