Let me know how it goes!! Gauge it without weight at first. Make sure your foot placement is not compromising your knees.

This looks fantastic! Thank you, I've been searching for something to help build back my glutes after breaking my femur.

Please try with no weight your first set. Practice slow and controlled motion each repetition. Most of all, listen to your body!

Why elevate your toes? I've never seen anyone else do that.
@bootybytri4 ай бұрын
Because I want to target my glutes more by pushing through my heels.

What's the benefit (if there is any) of using the Smith for this exercise over a standard oly bar lift? Or is this just for variation.....?
@bootybytri4 ай бұрын
The Smith machine mimics a barbell but from my experience provides more stability. Also, the bar moves on a track, making it easier to get into position. Easier to go heavy aswell, my opinion!

What does that do by elevating the front of your feet instead of the heel?
@bootybytri6 ай бұрын
Makes you have to push through your heels targeting glutes.

Does this hurt lower back
@Shrtymgs Жыл бұрын
Usually your back hurts if you have weak core muscles or you’re not tightening your core while lifting. You should always tighten your core anytime you’re lifting weights.

When you go ass to grass like that is anterior pelvic tilt a concern for you or deeper always better?
@bootybytri2 жыл бұрын
That's actually not ATG for me. I can definitely go deeper. A partial squat is descending to a 40-degree knee angle or less. A parallel, or full squat, is a descent to 70 to 100 degrees, almost parallel or just above or below. A deep squat is descending below 100 degrees. You’ll activate your glutes significantly more with a deep squat than you will a partial squat. But since I'm combining the Cursty Lunge that's enough range to tap into the glutes as needed without causing any pelvic strain by incorporating the two. Hopefully this information helps!
