Here's what I would have done. Azure Moon: Have Arundel transform into Thales as he dies in Derdrui with a cutscene realizing who he was. Otherwise fine. Crimson Flower: Cutscene where Edelgard explains herself to all player allies so that the other students can sympathize and justify following her (even from other houses) while making Dimitri brutal (like Rhea) and Claude devious and shady, otherwise ending vs. Rhea is fine. Silver Snow: End with Nemesis being the final boss while defending the SS Garreg Mach map, with him charging in at the end of the map being a path of destruction you have to stop. Verdant Wind: Have Thales survive blowing up Shambala and then rousing the Elites, using the same gimmick on the same map as the original. In Silver Snow you know the truth by then, so having Byleth, with Seteth, Flayn, and Rhea in support, makes sense for the lore to be full circle. In Verdant Wind, finding out from the Agarthans and Thales how things really happened and Rhea confessing satisfies Claude's thirst for knowledge and justifies why he needs to change Fodlan.

The biggest plus for Azure Moon is that a lot of White Clouds involves individuals and plots about Blue Lions. So the whole house feels more involved and developed by the main story.

Ingrid is actually a decent dark flier (except maddening of course). And Dimitri is very good with swords and he was my dancer (for the meme). I'm kinda scared by this Mercedes.

I have an idea for Claude’s story It’s later revealed that Claude’s original plan was to learns all the of secrets of everyone to manipulate them into his puppets but when the Black Eagles began the war he quickly starts losing control of the Alliance as they start working for the other factions and has to start bringing them back under his control but then he finds out that the Agarthans were manipulating them into taking sides and starting the war to begin with and after killing Edelgard you find out the Agarthans had to resort to their secondary plan and after fighting your way through them their leader gloats that you’re to late to stop them as they’ve reanimated Nemesis to finish what he started and kill all of the gods

How did you balance this? I tried to built this and needed a room at the back so it wouldnt fall over.

I played Verdant Wind first and was like "good" Then i played Silver Snow cause i didn't know how to get Crimsom Flower and was like "kinda samey, it's Verdant Wind without Claude, and i picked VW cause of Claude" Then Azure Moon and was like "Oh my god, this game story is SO GOOD" Crimson Flower next, the most interesting by far, but something feels missing

Picking Verdant Wind first really turned me off from playing the rest of the game. Also, grinding supports in that run.

The ghost theory makes so much more sense too, once you factor in that Byleth has Sothis's powers, meaning it could very possibly be that her powers allowed Byleth to see Dimitri from beyond the veil of death.

I can understand and for most part I even agree with criticism of Silver Snow (not all of it, but certainly some), but I would still put it above Crimson Flower for reasons that weren't touched upon at all in this video. Main problem with CF for me is how much it changed characters to point when they lost any agency and just became blind followers. Other reason is, that I don't think it didn't actually gave proper justification for Edelgard actions. Fight against Rhea in SS is abrupt and we could do without it, but it's mostly coherent story. I can't say same thing for CF. I definitelly can get behind Azure Moon having best writing (even if it leaves some loose ends, which hurts it lot).

I honestly feel like Azure Moon is the intended first route. It really sets the stage for the supporting cast and gives Edelgard’s betrayal a lot more weight.

Crimson Flower was my first route. I did enjoy it but it was too short for my taste. Azure Moon was awesome! Definitely the best. After this route, all the others have disappointed me 😂😂

Damn I was hoping there was a 5th route that I somehome missed, turned out it was just the pre-timeskip. Loved this game so much.

BE needed more time to cook, SS should have gotten the Nemesis bossfight instead of Rhea, and VW was shafted by being the 2nd route that was written. AM is "perfect" as it is so requires no major changes.

I feel like the Hylden from Legacy of Kain are a much better version of the Agarthans. Mainly because the Hylden have a similar backstory that the Agarthans seeing how they once had a technology advanced civilization, but it was destroyed by a race of religious zealots (Ancient Vampires from Legacy of Kain and Nabateans from Three Houses). All because they disrespected their god (The Elder God from Legacy of Kain and Sothis from Three Houses). Difference is that while the Agarthans are one note and evil for the sake of being evil, the Hylden are a bit more complex as they weren’t always evil, they just wanted a life away from the Elder God’s Wheel of Fate. Sure they cursed the Vampires with Immortality and Sterility, but the Hylden felt it was justice after they were wrongfully banished to the Demon Dimension. It shows that both races were in the right and wrong when the whole Vampire and Hylden war began. And the true source of corruption in Nosgoth is actually the Elder God who didn’t value mortal life so long as they fueled his Wheel of Fate which the Vampires believed is holding Nosgoth in balance, but in reality, it is the source of all of the conflict within Nosgoth. If the Agarthans were rewritten, they would have sort of grey area to them as before the Nabateans came along, they used to worship the Titans in which they believed created Fodlan. But when the Nabateans arrived, they ordered the Nabateans to stop worshipping the Titans and instead convert into worshipping the Progenitor Goddess. The Agarthans refused which angered the Nabateans and sparked a war which damaged most of Fodlan. The Nabateans used their dragon powers to destroy the Agarthans’ home city and drove them underground. And even if Nemesis and his Bandit Tribe wiped out the Nabateans, the Agarthans still weren’t satisfied as a few Nabateans survived. So they plotted in secret to enact their terrible revenge.

Edelgard is my favourite. I instantly love her out of the 3 lords because she has the makings of a great leader. And playing crimson moon just makes me love her even more, because she is really not doing what she did for a personal reason, but for the future of the people. She is a visionary and she sacrificed her entire life for the people. If possible, she would like to live an ordinary life, doing her passion and hobbies, but she has responsibilities to bear and a goal to achieve. I love characters like this. Very clear headed, goal orientated and tactical mind. True leadership qualities right there.

I agree that the Duscar plotline was all but dropped and wasn't very satisfying. But I would argue that the turn toward Fhirdiad after winning at Gronder Field was not a pointless decision. When Rodrigue first joins,after Ailell, he tried very hard to convince Dimitri to turn back to save the kingdom. At the time, Dimitri just brushed him off. In his drive for revenge, he does not care for his own people. It's like he has no empathy for the living at all, only for the dead. His turn toward Fhirdiad after Rodrigue dies is him symbolically turning back towards the living, and discarding his cold attitude from before. Gilbert even asks him "If we do this, Edelgard's head will slip further out of reach. Can you live with that?" And he answers that it's time to start living again and doing what is right. It's a dramatic change in his character and also a turning point in his character arc.

i have only played the silver snow route but i greatly enjoyed it. it was super upsetting when i had to kill Edelgard because of how much i loved her character and i also thought having to kill Rhea was quite tragic

bascially every route sucks. Blue lions: Edgelord wuss who gave up half way through and even though he can literally crack a human skull he just keeled over and dies to a kid whose as psychotics as him but probably lacks the strength to wield a weapon leading to the most cheesiest and dumbest deaths in the game. Golden Deer: A paranoid mess who thinks that everyone is out to get him because he kept bamboozling everyone during school days so he suddenly lost the ability to differentiate primary colors leading to one of the most stupidest decision of any war general can do. also in his route his goal absolutely makes no sense and his obsession with the truth barely affects his ideals. so IDFK why he keeps running around garreg mach finding clues like he's in scooby doo or something. Crimson flower: the generic evil Emperor who they made a sympathetic waifu so that everyone that plays this game first sides with her after reading her supports and stop using their brain. also probably for a good call since if they made the Emperor a guy and ugly as fuck no one would every play crimson flower. also she's a dumbass that blames the church form something they didn't do and worked with the people who made her life a living hell. I just cannot fathom her 1 IQ play. here.

Well clearly someone hear prefers character driven storytelling, but I won’t fault you for that as it is your own opinion. Also, 100% agree that all crimson flower needed to be an S tier route was 1 or 2 chapters to deal with Those Who Slither in the Dark. Kind of like Verdant Wind.
