dope i'm a man of the spices, so i'd add some jalapenos or a fresno, or similar types of chili peppers.

Goated with the sauce never had a dark applesauce like that, looks insane. gotta try that. I'll probably use a little bit less water, it's too liquid for me.

@JustinKoenigSilica definitely. I'd use a little less to start. I had to boil it down for a while. Was very tasty though

If you add yeast nutrient and fully incorporate your honey, you can have a good tasting product a lot sooner. A 6.4% ish abv (assuming 22oz of honey will add 0.048 points of specific gravity to a gallon) mead usually takes a week or two to ferment and a week or two in secondary. I brew low abv session meads all of the time and usually even with bottle carbing they are ready in 6 to 8 weeks. Yeast nutrient are really important for yeast health, is cheap and will give you better tasting mead much faster. Not trying to be a jerk, I love mead content and am glad others are posting videos. But there is a better way, one where you can enjoy the fruit of your labor much much faster!
@FoodTherapySeries2 жыл бұрын
I actually do that now! Definitely a huge help. I'm also I. The works of turning this into a commercial thing, I'm super hyped!

Just a heads up I like to swish mine around once or twice a day. If the extra stuff added in floats. This is because if it's constantly exposes to air it can rot. Resubmerging the ingredients coats it in booze and stops bacterial growth

@FoodTherapySeries3 жыл бұрын
It came out really good. I did pick the mint from the wild but I also grow a few different kind of mint in my garden. It's mainly the dried cherries which you let seep that adds a nice sweetness and fruity flavor
@Andreaseik3 жыл бұрын
@@FoodTherapySeries I have never even seen a cherry, not very used berry/fruit in Norway. Is it straight sweet? Like strawberry sweet, or more tart/sour towards raspberries?
@FoodTherapySeries3 жыл бұрын
@@AndreaseikTheir pretty sweet in flavor. Honestly if you get some raspberries that be wonderful for a batch. Mainly your looking for a sweet fruit thats been dried and then you steep it.
