Hey mate are you always getting kicked out of those private canals? Do they ever progress to a fine? Do you prefer Coomera or nerang? I've only ever fished Coomera with ok success.
@flap-fishinglikeapro992511 ай бұрын
I do get kicked out of the canals and they do take boat Regos so they k is if you’re coming back, but they’ve never issued anything higher then a warning as long as I simply leave when they ask. I would normally fish Coomera since it’s just closer for me and I haven’t had time to figure out Nerang but I will be fishing Nerang more this summer

Nice one. I think you worked it out to let it drop through the school! I was like yelling at you through the screen. I also think a reel with a different ratio would be better for that high speed retrieve. I assume this is your flathead gear? 6lb is brave but you will be sad if the bigger tuna show.
@flap-fishinglikeapro9925 Жыл бұрын

Nice vid and set up bro . Can I ask , where abouts at the Pin you are when you have sand bar either side of the boat and theres what looks like a creek at 7:44 and 8:20 please ? I live on North Stradbroke but I dont have a boat and that looks great off the shore in that area . I have a Hobie Kayak so I could possibly get in there , it looks like a good sheltered bay . I google earthed around there but I can only see Swan Bay ? A tip I have had a lot better results on Flathead especially in winter if I get non wind affected flat water close to the shore , even if i can find it flat water on a windy day , they seem to be in there more .I think it is because the 'Poddy Mullet' also like it and the wind ruffles the water so it stops the sand from warming up as much . I got a 94cm on a 6" ZMans 'Day and Night ' Paddle Tail , released down the Pin , my girl got a 87cm just before me on 5 inch . If I chase bigger flathead I use bigger lures 5 inch minimum . An amazing lure for Flathead, whiting is the 'Double Clutch' Hard Bodies small size if you want whiting and bream as well .They are expensive but worth it .They cast a mile and have a great action . Another tip..the slightest nick in your line will normally halve the breaking strain. I use 12lb- 20lb leader , big fish 20lb ..Always check and change leader after every fish mate . Might be your PB ..dont risk it :). Thx in advance
@flap-fishinglikeapro9925 Жыл бұрын
That spot there is known as the lagoon, on the maps there’s 2 bays besides each other, one is next to the bar and then there’s one before it, the lagoon is the one before, quite a well know spot, both bays are just opposite from the surf
