In my opinion they could up the costume a bit, brighten the blue a bit and make the spider a little bigger, still love it tho
@TheMultiverseSpider-Man4 ай бұрын
@Chick-boi I intentionally wanted the spider this size and shape due to that I'm actually using it for a comic suit not really a true Universal suit, so that's on me. As for the blues yeah they probably could have I'm not sure how they determined what one they were gonna use, but I mean- idk it's pretty close to the source material I was using I think? So it works, but in terms of it being a Universal suit specifically you're totally right, but again the spider is my doing.
@petersaysthings4 ай бұрын
The only thing I've experienced is their measurements can be a bit iffy. My Ultimate Spider-Man suit I got from them fits mostly perfect, but on a Wiccan costume I had made with identical measurements, the thighs weren't as tight for some reason and the arms were a bit too tight. I hadn't grown any in the time between those two either. Their communication response time is pretty bad imo lol. Definitely better places to get face shells, but I think they're always improving theirs. Overall though, I was satisfied with my two costumes, even though the Spidey one's color came out a tad more orange than red as well. Regarding your issues on muscle shading requests and such, RPC Studio can't control the specifics of the designs they use, you'd have to reach out to Gunhead or whoever designed the suit pattern for a custom one, cuz they don't have in-house designers.
@TheMultiverseSpider-Man4 ай бұрын
@petersaysthings except they sort of do? If you order a suit without a pattern and tell them what you want they relay that to the designers they work with. I know this because on my F4 suit they would send me updated patterns as they were getting them from Gunhead as they made changes I was requesting. So- like no they don't have in house designers, but they absolutely CAN control how the patterns look by accurately relaying what you want to the pattern makers they have direct partnership with.

Brooo where did you get the suit?? I need ittt!!!

That's kind of a long answer because I didn't really get it from one place custom lenses made by a buddy, pattern by gunhead design, suit actually sewn by printcostume, muscle suit by somebody (bought it secondhand) inner shoes by seller on amazon.

I really appreciate this video, thank you. My first suit was from zentaizone back in 2017, was great and fit perfectly. Now that I've outgrown it I was thinking I might splurge and get the fancy Homecoming suit from rpc studios that I've had in the back of my mind for years. It's just not worth that risk, at over $800 with everything included. I can barely afford this hobby anyway and I'd be devastated if it didn't fit after 3 months wait. Spideyfit's video makes it look so gorgeous and it does make me sad to let the dream go, but I just have a feeling mine wouldn't come out the same. I'm thinking I'll try herostime this go around. (:
@TheMultiverseSpider-Man5 ай бұрын
Yeah I mean they certainly LOOK pretty good, but from what I've heard they're not at all durable either so even if you got one that DID fit, it likely wouldn't last very long at least not if you're going to wear it regularly. Honestly once you get into that price range you're better going to a specialty maker on IG.

My story: Fake Spiderman was originally just an ordinary young man whose name he didn't know suddenly found a Spiderman costume and web shooter in the trash, he was just wearing it for fun, but suddenly a fire broke out, he then saved a little girl from the fire, but because of Fake Spiderman didn't know anything about Spiderman, he finally asked the little girl who Spiderman was. The little girl explained a little about Spiderman. After that, Fake Spiderman decided to become Spiderman even though he didn't have any strength. After that, he trained intensively every day, such as doing 500 push ups, 500 punches. and ran 50 kilometers, he also trained his instincts, even equivalent to spider sense, he called his instincts Evolved human sense, but for some reason he had the principle that a hero must kill so that the world would be better, he then modified Spiderman's costume to be red and blue with a spider symbol. big white on his chest and also modified his web shooter to become a white spider which produces spider webs continuously so can you tell the difference between my character Fake Spiderman and Spiderman fake red.

Thank you so much for doing this. Fat guy here who recently dropped a bunch of weight and am almost to the point where I'm ready to unleash my new much less fat self on the world for halloween. I've been looking at print costume and...their costumes seem incredibly inexpensive by comparison to RPC - are there any hidden costs I'm not thinking of? For example, you mention patterns, and shells and whatnot for the mask - and i"m not sure I understand that: can you possibly explain so I know what I need to order to not look crappy?
@TheMultiverseSpider-Man7 ай бұрын
Not really. Unless you're wanting a suit the companies don't already make then you don't need to worry about ordering a separate pattern. As for faceshell and lenses yeah that's sort of a hidden cost. Both companies do them but I think PC's are horrible so I'd never get them from there and I think The RPC's are incredibly over priced so basically you have to order from a 3rd party which'll range anywhere from $130-200 just depending unless you have a 3D printer and just print the file yourself then you're looking around $20.

Or just get them installed already… Don’t forget to ass a rubber sheet at the end as extra protection and looks a little neater in photos
@TheMultiverseSpider-Man8 ай бұрын
Well like I said in the video you could have them installed already, but that defeats the whole point of the video... but additionally as I stated installing your own saves you money up front, or if you don't like the terrible shoes PrintCostume uses then you don't have to worry. Now if you use Herostime I suppose that's less of a concern I don't love the shoes they use, but they're definitely better. So yeah there's a reason people just install their own. As for adding "a rubber sheet" I'd assume you mean an outer sole which you could do but kind of just unnecessary for what THIS is, but I agree you could. Only reason I'd say don't bother is because by that point you mine as well basically do a different method which is the method they used for the Raimi films. Which'll I'll do another video which involves having like a "slipper" which attaches to the boot which then attaches to an outer sole. Similar process, but get you a cleaner look if it's you know something you really need. Additionally you could just cut off the fabric around the edge and just spray glue down the entire boot to the shoe like The RPC does.

It’s not an ult issue it’s just the sewing of the maker, u will have creasing under the pits/ front shoulder even the original had that issue
@TheMultiverseSpider-Man8 ай бұрын
Yeah I figured as much, though I haven't seen the "creasing" issue in others' suits which is why I was curious about why makers seemed to have such a problem with the pattern when they've clearly done them before. And I haven't seen the issue in the original to be honest. Godzilla Mendoza HAS one of the originals and I don't see that issue there. But I mean- again I guess I haven't seen too many of the suits around, but I know Spectacular Scarlet Spider 117 has one and I don't THINK he has this issue, so again I don't know. That was my assumption too was it was the sewing style, maybe those guys got a u-zip, but again then it's like, "okay cool, but why does this issue not seem present on the OG Mendoza owns?" So- yeah. It is what it is I don't think I got the energy to invest any more time into it ha, ha, ha.

Im not a fan of the recent writings of Spider-punk since this comic, honestly. Comparing the writing and tone of his first appearance, and when he went to go get Hulk, to the more recent stuff..it feels kid-ish. Like they're pulling back from the fact that Hobie DECAPITATED the fucking PRESIDENT. That tone doesn't persist throughout the rest of his writings.

@TheMultiverseSpider-Man8 ай бұрын
Ooo, slightly longer... I have that on a couple of my suits too, I don't know there's much you can do. Typically, what I've heard other people doing with regular shoes is just filling those sections. Could be harder for a Spider-Man suit, what you COULD try though is finding a shoe insert they use to keep the shape of shoes filling that and slipping it in depending how big that gap is. I think OTHERWISE you'd be looking at having to replace the soles entirely. Which IS possible I've never done it, but I know people who have.

Hey I mean- you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. I don't recommend anyone buy off Amazon, but I understand the logic I just don't agree with it. A) they're not ACTUALLY any cheaper than printcostume's cheapest suit options if they are it's really not by much. B) All those people who are selling them are using stolen patterns which- is just shitty. C) You're stuck with poor quality and poor quality control. At least with PC or Herostime like you CAN get better fabric and have a host of upgrades you can do if you have the money, and while I don't think their lenses are good you CAN get custom lenses from them that'll look better than any Amazon suit. But- I mean- I get it some people just don't care or don't want to do the research or fuck just want a suit for Halloween. I don't know, I'm also a writer, a game dev, a failed musician and I'm married to a small business owner so- that all informs my feelings on that topic too.
