Is Akashas history mentioned in any of the books? Where she came from? Who she was as a human?

I worked as a copy editor for a long time before transitioning my career to that of a writer-and I agree that copy editors often overstep. We are often so focused on the rigidity of rules that we tend to forget that artistic voice and expression do exist. Sometimes, those stylistic expressions don't conform to the rules of grammar. Now, as a writer, I can say diction, syntax, and even punctuation are often very deliberate.

When I started to read the book I just couldn't belueve this chatacter was SO different from the freaky and sociopathic movies version of him - so much deeper, smarter, loving and generous... And so often misunderstood!

from this same interview she said that she liked him as Lestat and he nailed it (and maybe implied he wouldn't have been her first choice which isn't "hating him"): kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2eZY5p5rNV-nKs

Interview With A Vampire was back in 1994 and now we have a reboot of Interview With A Vampire with Sam Reid as Lestat and he did his homework and he spoke French and Italian and learned how to play the piano and even took singing lessions and there is a clip of Sam singing Long Face which is quite good and that's in Season 3 where its Lestat's turn to talk about Louis and Claudia. Kirsten Dunst did an amazing job playing Claudia and she was only 12 at the time. Brad Pitt & Tom Cruise were in their golden years in 1994. That was when Tom Cruise was married to Nicole Kidman. They both attended the premiere of Interview With A Vampire and they were the IT couple of the 1990s and then they divorced in 2001. Nicole Kidman gotten an oscar for The Hours and Brad Pitt won for Once Upoin A Time In Hollywood and the 1990s was an awesome decade for music and movies. I read all of Anne Rice's books and I am sure Anne Rice would have loved Interview With A Vampire (TV) series for 2023. Sam Reid was perfect as Lestat Di Lioncourt. She would have loved this series. This is how vampires should be not that Twlight saga where vampires sparkle in the sunlight.. isn't that for fairies? Like Tinkerbell.

Pretty shit movie with about half a dozen 'classic' scenes that folk repeatedly use to justify it's 'excellence'. After reading the book I found the movie very hard to follow (and quite frankly boring).🤬🙈🙉🤬 Good book ❤️ shit movie 💩 .. wow that never happens! 🖖Flann the Hand's movie score 2 (for all the pretty people and very good costumes). Back to the House of the Rising Sun tonight to meet Herself, hold hands (stigmata) and hopefully get some more truth. You might be the last person I ever talk to. We'll see. Not eating Fire until xmas. Anyway love your work ❤

0:53 I think in Interview with The Vampire, Part of the reason Louie tole the story to the Boy was because he wanted Lestat to change. him for him. In the movie he might have known Lestat was watching, and that he would use him like he did Claudia, in. the book Louie drinks him and stops, just like he did Claudia, suggesting that. maybe he expected Lestat to do that to Claudia from the start. The boy is the perfect merger of their personalities, Louie looks for meaning and intimacy and Lestat finds multiple fascination but doesn't create large meaning from. The boy starts the story saying he interviews several people a night, so multiple fascination but finding meaning in it at the same time , he might be the best companion as synthesis of both of their outlooks

I'm 50 and 3 weeks sober (again). Countless relapses and for what? To escape my reality, escape pain, escape disappointment, just escape period. Funny how escaping by alcohol never makes you 'feel better' but only worse in self worth and value. I pray I'm strong enough, this time, to remain sober. Thanks for letting me vent 💜
@Jmac14773 ай бұрын
Congrats on the 3 weeks. Hopefully you haven't relapsed but even if you have don't give up on quitting. You'll eventually get it if you haven't already & despite what some people in AA & other programs sometimes say, even short periods of sobriety are worthwhile & could help to save or at least prolong someone's life. Get & stay well; even though I know it feels like it, your not alone in this struggle.

So she wanted to be a gay vampire? 😂 Don't get the fuss. I read interview with a vampire 2 weeks ago and lestat was a whiny gay lord, who can't take care of himself and do basic things, fully consumed by luxury and dependent on others.
