Great to see Gary and learn from him so many years later. Met him near the summit of Mt Baring in the amazing drought winter in the late 1970s. This was my first adventure of many amidst the Western Melange of the "Skykos" aka Skykomish Alps. As a rock climber of about 50 years career, i can assure you that chicken heads or mafic enclaves are very welcome as handholds. In fact one of the most famous climbs in the state is "Outer Space" in Leavenworth which as the name implies, has entire 100' pitches loaded with some of the most amazing, otherworldly chickenheads in America.

So happy to hear Liz is doing well. For anybody who wants to join me in spirit - I will continue to say the rosary for Liz, Nick and family every night at 7:00 pm until Liz is home and able to be out hiking again. May all the love and prayers continue for Liz, Nick and the whole family.

Nov 20, 2024 Update: Liz is making great progress. Walking with a walker around the ICU every few hours, all body parts working well, she's talking and recognizing familiar voices/faces. There's a long way to go, but we are grateful for all of your comments here. Thank you. Nick Zentner
